No, it's not compatible with the Sportsman 4X4 335 400 500 600 700 from 1996. 2004

How big is this atv seat cover and how long is it? Is there a tuckable edge on the elastic?

I'm not sure about the width and length, but it fit perfectly on my 2005 Sportsman 400, and it has a staple edge rather than elastic.

What is the material used to construct it?

It's made of vinyl, and it's a perfect fit for my Polaris Sportsman 500. It does need to be stapled on from the underside of your seat, but I just put it on over the original seat cover. It has a very nice appearance.

We attempted to mount it on our seat in a variety of ways. Nothing seemed to work. It turned out to be a complete waste of money.

On a Polaris Sportsman 400 from 2004, it works perfectly

On a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500, I used this. It was a perfect fit and a breeze to install, even though it was only my second time covering a seat. I used an air stapler, which was much faster than using a hand stapler on the first one. I've had this on my 4wheeler for a few months and have had no problems with it, and it's held up well in the Texas heat, so five stars from me!.

Was a good match for my arctic cat, who was in desperate need of a new cover (duck tape couldn't save him, lol). I'm going to order one for my Polaris because it looks so nice. I'm not sure how long they'll last because I just got them, but they've got to be better than sticking to the half-worn duck tape!.

Some are durable, while others are not

I've bought a couple of aftermarket carburetors. Some of them last for a long time, while others are completely broken when they arrive. Some people aren't able to sit still for long periods of time. It's a good deal for the money. Just be aware that there's a chance you'll get a dud.
