If the bolt does not fit, it must be replaced. Then get a different bolt; this kickstand is a retrofit for all bikes, not just yours.
On my 26-inch Diamondback, it works perfectly. It's a mountain bike, and it's simple to put together.
Why not, since the kickstand is attached to the frame and isn't in the way of the brakes? Depending on the height of the bike, you may need to use a hacksaw to get to the end (I did, or rather, my bike mechanic did it for me.)

This is the item you need if you have a Specialized Sirrus bike (mine was a 2014 Comp Disc model) that has a center KS mount. br>br>The retro kit that comes with the package isn't even necessary. All you'll need are the 6 mm long ones. Install the bolt (bolted from underneath) and the retainer bar (both included in the kit) with a 6 mm screwdriver. the hex wrench key. br>br>I also bought a rubber foot from KS. As a result, I had to use a hacksaw to cut the stand down to size (for your ideal "bike lean"). Because it's made of forged aluminum, it's incredibly simple to work with. br>br>Not only was this the ideal KS for my bike, but it was also significantly less expensive than other KS that had been recommended incorrectly by a bike shop and had to be returned.
Ha! My bicycle has become self-sufficient. helping out! br>br>I used a Fuji Finest 1 to test it out. It couldn't be installed without being modified because there wasn't enough room. Fortunately, an angle grinder with a cut-off wheel came in handy. The required modifications were made simple by using off wheel. (As seen in the photos. ) ) I ended up cutting it at the 270-degree mark, but it could have been a little shorter. br>br>I bought the bike used, and the bike tech who inspected it for me after I bought it said it couldn't be installed with a kickstand, so I'm happy to disprove him. Of course, the cycling snobs will look down their noses at you for having a kickstand, but I'll be looking down my nose at all of their bikes laying in the grass.
I was looking for a rear-mounted kickstand for my 2018 Marlin Trek 5, but nothing I found met my expectations. So I went with this center-mounted kickstand, which does not fit my bike out of the box because the top plate is too large. However, I used my Dremel to grind down the plate, and it went in without a hitch. br>br>My MT bike is a 29er, and the kickstand keeps it upright just fine; I didn't need to adjust the length at all. br>br>However, I'm disappointed that I couldn't find a suitable quick-fix solution. rear-detachable mounted kickstand, which does its job well, but is difficult to remove when I want to use my MTB for something else. Mountain biking, to be precise. br>br>At a later time, I'll try to post pictures of my setup.
Add a rubber tip to the metal saw cut. I cut the first piece with my rotary saw. 5" and 2" for kids' 18" and 16" bikes, respectively (look at the sidewall of the tire), then add a rubber tip I bought separately below. If you're not going to use a rubber tip, you might want to cut a little shorter. A hacksaw can be used to cut the included paper direction notes. The package also included a bolt, lock washer, and top mounting plate. The grooved bolt head can be hand-tightened, but I used a hex driver (not included) to do so. br>br>The stand (as well as the upper plate) is made of sturdy metal and folds up securely (with a good, springy snap). The bikes take up a lot less space in the garage now. Trekking Poles Rubber Tips Protector 12-Pack br>br> Pack:

On a trek, I mounted this kickstand. I was concerned that the lack of a kickstand support part on the bike would be a problem. It wasn't a problem, though, because the part of the kickstand through which the bolt passes is designed to fit snugly into the triangle area. This is also where the front deraileur cable is located on the trek. The bolt receiver piece's design prevents the cable from interfering with its function. I followed the instructions and adjusted the length of the kickstand before bolting it in place; it now fits and functions perfectly. It's light and easy to tuck away. It's simple to give and take away five stars.
Minor grinding adjustments were necessary to avoid contact with cables, as stated in a previous review. After that, it was fairly simple to set up. The clamping force is insufficient to keep the stand from moving, which renders the product useless. The clamp location moved with each use of the kickstand until it came to rest on a cable.
The shaped mounting bracket allows just enough clearance for the cable to pass through without tangling. The bottom-fed bolt makes installation a little more difficult, but the smaller diameter is what makes this bracket work.
I had to'modify' my bike a little to make this kickstand fit, (you won't have to) because my NEW bike (a 'Fuji Nevada 29er') with disc brakes didn't come with one, (I had a lot of people ask why a new bike didn't come with a kickstand, to which I had no answer), but I got it to fit, and once I did, I was glad I did. On my previous bike, I had a 'Greenfield rear stabilizer' kickstand, and it was the most dependable kickstand I'd ever had! As a result, I'm interested in trying another 'Greenfield' on this bike; however, because my bike is a 29er, I'm considering ordering the 305mm version for the extra length, as this one is only 285mm. Because this one didn't come with a foot, I ordered the 'Greenfield rubber foot. ' I'm still not sure why, because if you use the kickstand in soft mud or grass without it, it acts like a spike, and your entire bike will fall over. That is my only criticism of this kickstand; everything else about it is fantastic! (Just make sure to get the 'rubber foot' with it. ).
