Because of all the complaints I decided to go the extra mile with a bottle of isopropyl alcohol (instead of just using the wipe that came with it) and a heat gun to make sure everything was clean and nice and hot before going ahead with this product. The first couple of rides and a couple of days have been good so far. The TechSpec x-series was the previous one I had A pair of line (fabric type) grips which held up to about a year before starting to tear and looking bad. Initially, I chose fabric type because it was easier to install, but these look like they will hold up better. Because they are thick, good quality rubber, they were difficult to bend and contour, which is probably why so many people had problems installing. You should heat them up with a hair dryer or heat gun once they are installed (I heated them up to the point they were burning hot to the touch) and then you should leave the bike in the sun for a few minutes to let it cool down. The peeling is still happening. I'll update later if the peeling occurs.

We did not have any problems with the pads on the side of the tank staying Neither rode the bike with them on nor did I even think about it. It has been removed and re-added The area was prepped thoroughly, with a minimal amount of adhesion. A few days later, I threw the entire set away. I did not want to leave a peeling pad on my brand new Ducati as it seemed like the fabric would have grabbed my leg area well.

Even after reading other reviews, I decided to give these a try. It appears that certain spots are rising to the top and not sticking to the bottom of my tank after I cleaned it thoroughly. I am really disappointed with these because for how much they cost. What I should have never put on my 959 is a garbage product.

If it weren't for the fact that these were hard to stick, I would have given this product 5 stars. Before using these tank grips, simply fill a bottle with rubbing alcohol and use a hair dryer.

I was unable to accomplish that with this one. The 65 bucks I wasted were not used.

However, I have been unable to get it to stick right. followed the instructions and applied it in the correct temperature range, but the Panigale has some ridges along the tank that make it difficult to get the grips on correctly. When I let it go, The replacements were sent as soon as Spec knew. They're on their way, and if I can stick with them I'll give them 5 stars.
