Questions & Answers
It's probably 1/8 or 1/4" thick, and it's pliable enough to fit over my car's 5/16" fuel vent line.
This is a one-time use fuel tank cap valve. This is a two-way valve that lets air in while keeping gas out.
It works well in my car, and you can give it a try.
All motorcycles and quads should be able to use it.

br>I saw these on Amazon and decided to take a chance and buy one. It worked perfectly! br>The fit and function are both excellent; I cut about half of the hose length to make a shorty, so it doesn't wobble around like a bobble head. It simply pokes up to the point where it is required. br>It took a lot of force and a tug of war to get it on. It was found to be stable in a test. br>Following some extreme leans and re-positioning, It's doing exactly what it's supposed to be doing. It comes highly recommended.
The attachment hose, like the rest of them, is a pain to use. It's too stiff, and there are no clips or hose clamps included to hold it in place. br>br>However, the actual vent appears to function properly, and if you can avoid losing it on your first ride, it should fit just about any dirtbike fuel cap.
On my DRZ, I use it with a 4 gallon tank. It keeps the gas from splashing me, but the breather wasn't staying on the hose very well for some reason, so I ziptied it to tighten the grip it had on the hose. It doesn't have the same problem staying on the tank, and I simply ziptied the breather to the hose, so everything is fine.
So far, it appears to be working. My Yamaha TTR-2000 fits perfectly. With the factory gas cap, it'll set you back $250.
The hose appears to be coming undone.
It works, is reasonably priced, and is simple to install.
I trimmed it to fit perfectly on my banshee, and the vent fell off within 5 minutes. If you do any decent riding, I strongly advise you to avoid this product.
In my 72 Torino, I was actually using this as a vent for the gas tank, and it slid right on the 3/8 fuelline that used to go to a charcoal canister. For a small price, this is a great valve.
