My 1985 Js550 as well as my 1987 Js550 fit the kit.

In the case of mine, it didn't. In addition to the OEM unit, I ordered a spare one.

A lot of gas caps have been bought for my jet ski. The glue cracks after 3 to 4 times of taking it off and putting it back I'm studying as hard as I can in this cap! It is wonderful to see the colors used in this design. This book does not contain a hook to hang the lanyard, nor an open end for you to attach the lanyard Approximately five rings. In my opinion, it seals fine without it since it is quite flexible. Old OEM cap rings can be used to replace the new rings. Keep in mind that the cap will not be as strong as the male end on.

Excellent Billet Cap, but the gasket is of poor quality

Your jetski will look great with this cap on it, but you should not use the gasket that comes with it. What a horrible thing to happen. a week of use, the gasket started to disintegrate allowing water to enter the fuel tank and bits of plastic to fall out. My entire gas tank had to be pumped out, and I had to replace the fuel filter, which resulted in me being unable to use my jetski and having to stay home for the day. If you decide to purchase this item, I recommend buying the Kawasaki standard fuel cap gasket.

The plastic gas caps always break on our standup jet ski from 1985. The motor runs great, but the plastic gas caps always break. Aluminum ones are great, just make sure you get a gasket for it, it does not come with one.

After only a short time, the color faded! In less than 30 days I have lost the anodizing on a black cap I purchased

It is a good cap, but it does not hold its anodizing. The brown color has now changed to Never exposed to direct sunlight, the vehicle is kept in a carport at all times. Considering it hasn't even been on the lake yet, it hasn't even had a full day's worth of sun on it yet.
