The Zerex stuff (as well as Wal Mart's Valvoline Asian) are both red, to answer an old question. Type 2 blue coolant is used by Honda. It'd probably work, but I'm not a fan of mixing colors. You can either get the OEM Honda stuff, which costs around $22 per gallon right now, or you can go generic and get the blue Pentosin Pentofrost A3 stuff. The Pentosin is the closest thing you can get to genuine Honda coolant.

Toyota, Lexus, and Scion vehicles benefit greatly from this coolant. Hyundai, Subaru, Nissan, Honda, Acura, and other Japanese and Korean manufacturers are also listed on the jug's backside. I used a cleaner and distilled water to flush the coolant system in my Tacoma (use distilled to avoid mineral deposits). Both the red and blue zerex are nearly identical. They have a P-. HOAT coolants are a type of liquid that is used to keep the body cool Phosphorus is a mineral found in the soil. The abbreviation stands for Hybrid Organic Acid Technology (HOAT). They're made up of ethyl glycol. They simply use different dyes to match the coolants produced by different manufacturers. Because of better components and chemical additives, it has a much longer life span than the old green ethylene glycol blend. In addition, they conduct less electricity than a standard green ethylene glycol blend. This product is highly recommended if you have an Asian style vehicle. This is ideal for recharging your Toyota's cooling systems. Because the antifreeze level in my 11-year-old Toyota was low, I decided to add some. br>br>Add it while the engine is still cold. Before adding coolant to the radiator and overflow tank, make sure the car is parked on level ground. br>br>Test drive with the heater on to circulate coolant in the heater core. br>br>After the engine has cooled down, check the level again. When the jug is full, pouring can be difficult at first. Pour with a funnel and the jug turned sideways to prevent spills.
It's only coolant, but I have to put pink coolant in my Prius for my own personal satisfaction. The majority of the information I found indicated that this is compatible with Toyota coolant. It was used for the hybrid coolant and the radiator that had been set aside. I checked the coolant price at the dealer store when I had a recall done on my Prius, and I was surprised at the price! I saved a little money while getting the same performance. Zerex, you're welcome.
I did my homework and looked into a variety of other options. After speaking with Zerex, I've decided that for my Toyota and Subaru vehicles, this is the best option.
With 193,000 miles on it, the engine in my 2010 Ford Fusion was pretty much dead. (Burned valves) I bought a used engine from a reputable company. As a replacement, it was a well-known engine recycler with 90,000 miles on it. The engine appeared to be in excellent condition, but it was the coolant passages that really stood out. They appeared to be fresh off the assembly line. There was no rust, dirt, or residue to be found. In fact, the machined areas where the water pump was installed were as gleaming as a mirror and appeared to have been freshly machined. Red Asian coolant poured out when I flipped the engine block over. So that's what I have today in my car. I'm hoping for 250-300 people to attend. I expect this engine to last 300,000 miles, and I'm confident there won't be any coolant issues during that time.
This is pink Toyota spec coolant, good enough as a replacement coolant when flushing or topping off the system, I will buy it again, I used 2 gallons when replacing my water pump and timing belt but should have bought 3 because I resused some of the old coolant, either way it's a good product.
In 2008, 50/50 antifreeze/coolant was pretty much the standard. Nissans from the year 2013 onwards are eligible. Always double-check the charts or consult a mechanic if you're unsure. This could be a little less expensive, but it's still less expensive than Nissan-branded items. And, in most cases, these items are produced by only one or two factories before being sold to other businesses. This is 100% compatible and as well as the OEM does. Use it for top-offs, after a flush, or even to replace your radiator, as I did.
It's exactly what your Acura/Honda is looking for. If the interior is blue, just order this stuff. br>br>I used it on a 2005 Acura TSX.
