It worked perfectly on my 2010 Hyundai Elantra's Bosch brakes after a recent brake job. I used it on both sides of the hardware clips, the side of the brake pad, the back of the brake pad, and one of the stuck caliper pins. The rubber caliper boot didn't swell as a result of this. My brakes are quiet and don't squeak. br>br>I found Permatex's "Tech Tip" information on the differences between their brake lubes to be extremely helpful. Due to Amazon review guidelines, I am unable to post the link here; however, you can find a wealth of information by searching "Permatex Brake Lube Tech Tips. " br>br>In general, the red brake parts lube is the "best" because it can operate at higher temperatures (up to 3000 F) than the other brake lubes and won't harm the rubber or plastic components.
I went to three different auto parts stores in the area, but none of them had it in stock. At least ten brake changes should be possible with this tube. I used a long wooden handle Q-tip to clean the guide pin holes. My brakes are in perfect working order, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
There was no grease at all when I disassembled the brake pads myself. This is what I used around the brake parts, and it works perfectly! There will be no squeaking in the future. It's like new. I'm confident that this small pack will cover all four brakes and more, depending on how much you apply.
Caliper slide pins benefit from a high-quality grease that won't harm rubber boots. It's also fantastic for lubricating brake pad hardware. When it comes to brake parts, a little goes a long way, and having good grease is crucial. It enables you to open and close your calipers with ease. There are some other greases that work just as well, but only a few that won't harm the rubber boots. It will be a headache and a trip to the auto parts store if you have to do a future brake job with rubber boots that are all torn apart.
The rear brake pads on the VW GTi were not fully engaged. Using this lubricant, I was able to clean out the dirt in the grooves and make the pads slide again. When it was hot, it didn't bleed. A dab was applied to the top of the brake piston where it rubs against the back of the pad. No noise.
Lubricates guide pins that travel through rubber bushings, such as the Lucas-style guide pins. On my Audi, I'm rocking the HP2 floating calipers. Also, like on our Honda CR-V, guide pins with a small rubber bushing built into the pin. The letter V (Pin B) is used to represent the letter V. Unlike grease, it won't cause the rubber to swell. On metal brake calipers, I use their green Ultra Disk Brake Caliper Lube (grease). Metal contact points or pins that do not make contact with rubber parts or bushings are not recommended. The ideal solution for the job.
I'm at a loss for words. Even if it was garbage, I wouldn't be able to tell. It appears that this is much thinner than sil- I've never seen glyde or any other silicone grease or paste. I'm not sure how this affects its performance, but I plan on inspecting and re-adjusting the caliper pins once a year. grease.
I used this grease with the Wagner brake pads that I purchased here, and there is no brake noise at all. Of course, I took the time to thoroughly clean everything before applying this grease. Others have complained about brake noise when using Wagner brake pads, but I believe that cleaning and properly lubricating the brake pads is the key to no brake noise.
