Questions & Answers

Is it possible to bring this item in checked luggage?

Liquids, aerosols, and gels in small quantities are safe to bring aboard planes, according to the Transportation Security Administration. If you want to take your entire family on a trip, Antiperspirant, hairspray, suntan lotion, shaving cream, and hair mousse aerosol containers of any size can be packed in your checked baggage.

Can I use this to prevent moisture and corrosion on spark plug wire terminals, or is it flammable and dangerous due to the spark and electric conduction? thx?

It's designed to keep electrical connections safe. It is not flammable, as far as I am aware, when used as directed.

Is this something you use on the plug's blades? or around the blades, creating a seal around each one? or just a single seal all the way around the plug?

The grease is a non-toxic substance. Sealant that is electrically conductive. Its purpose is to keep water away from electrical connections. Apply to the inside of the spark plug wire cap, where it connects to the spark plug. Make use of a good-quality high-resolution camera. To prevent galling, use a high-temperature thread sealant like Permatex's "High Temperature Thread Sealant."

Will this work to keep water out of outdoor electrical plugs (extension cords)?

It will, in fact.

Is it suitable for use in the sea? Perhaps a DIY level of difficulty
3/5

On mine, the tip isn't very adjustable, so squeezing the trigger, even when it appears to be at 20 percent open, quickly fires out too much. It's the same as if the door were completely open. Like the red can version of this grease, there's really no way to adjust it. Its grease is also a little thin, and it gets runny, which reminds me of actual moisture. The stuff in the tube, which is thicker, appeals to me more. This appears to be a little diluted. I once used it on battery contacts on a repaired battery pack and discovered that the grease had yellowed due to the nickle plating. I removed it from my body.

My GFIC hasn't tripped since I've used this
5/5

This year, my GFICs were driving me insane with their Christmas lights. Our house was sided, and an electrician came out and replaced our outdoor outlets correctly. We've had a lot of rain and cloudy days, and my GFICs were tripping every night about 2 or 3 hours after the light timers were turned on. Then I had to reset everything on a daily basis. br>br>I got a can of this grease, went around to all of the extension cord ends, blew them out with compressed air, packed the grease in, plugged everything back in, and wrapped everything in good 3m tape. So far, no circuits have been tripped in three days. I'll keep you updated if anything changes, but for now, I'm relieved not to have to deal with it on a daily basis. Next year, I'll buy a can or two and make sure to bring all of the lights and extension cords with me. Edit. br>br> This application has been submitted for 20 days. Using the same method, I added a few more extension cords and Light strands. There are no longer any trip circuits.

It's great for electrical components that are submerged in water
5/5

For my home, I transport electrical motors, connectors, and wire. I built an ROV and have yet to have a short or anything go wrong with it. Even on the lowest setting, I get a little more light than I need, but it's manageable. I simply pour the grease into a small plastic cup and apply it with an applicator or my fingertip (while wearing Nitrile gloves). br>br>It's simple to clean up; all I need is 409 and a paper towel to clean up any mess. br>br>I've been a long-time user of CRC products and have never been disappointed with the quality of their products.

"Franks" hot sauce, for example
5/5

Love it. br>br>I'd had it with those tiny dielectric goo tubes. Every time I was torn up, I made a shambles! NOW. I'm going to be able to use this for a long time. If I don't lose it, that is. 😁.

It's a must-have for anyone who works with marine electronics
5/5

On my boats and in Canal House receptacles, I use this for everything electric. This, on the other hand, is a replacement for my CRC Technician Grade Dielectric grease, which I've been using for 1. 5 years. Although they appear to be the same, if you live near salt water, you should probably go with marine.

You are incorrect if you do not use it
5/5

It is extremely simple to operate. It's the right size and type of container for the job. There's no reason not to have one and use it to keep plug and socket ends from corroding and burning/sparking. It is both cost effective and beneficial to boat safety.

It's working fine, and I'm not a big fan of grease
5/5

This product appears to be exactly what I was looking for in a well-made tube. As long as you don't go crazy, it appears to be fine for car connectors. Use a q-tip to apply it. a suggestion for simplicity.

It's grease in a can that has been pressurized
5/5

When you press the button, grease will come out! It works well and can be adjusted for small electrical connections without smearing grease everywhere. It came in handy for my boat's connections.
