Yes, it is possible. In fact, I've found it to be one of the best carb cleaners I've come across, and I clean a lot of carbs.

It's the kind of thing California warns you about, but that's exactly what makes you think it's good! Warning - Do not use on the ozone layer or reproductive organs. Please don't do it. it burns. br>br>However, when I recently rebuilt my LTZ400, which is a thumper type engine (big single cylinder), this gum cutter came in extremely handy. There was a lot of carbon buildup in the cylinder head's combustion chamber, and this was the only thing that could touch it! It appears to dissolve the carbon completely, which is incredible. It was also great for cleaning out the carburetor, which improved the machine's performance.
I usually buy a carb cleaner from a large discount chain store called SuperTech. I was about to start cleaning a cylinder head when I came across this brand of gum cutter mentioned on an internet forum; everyone claimed it was better than anything they'd ever used, so I decided to give it a shot. It's not that much better than regular carb cleaner, in my opinion. I used SuperTech to clean half of the cylinder head and Berkebile to clean the other, and the results were nearly identical. I'd give the Berkebile 2 2 a slight edge, but two cans are nearly $20 after shipping. I'll scrub a little more with the $2 cans and get similar results eventually.
Who would send such a flammable spray? br>br>It came without a cap and was loose in the carton. I'm curious as to how many times the nozzle was pushed into the carton during handling, allowing some of the contents to spill out. I'm hoping it's still operational. In any case, it's an unfinished product. There appear to be no returns or exchanges because it is a hazardous material. br>br>Apart from that, because I run a tight (AND SAFETY ORIENTED) shop, I'm very careful about how I store my cleaners. br>br>As shown in the listing, this should have come with a cap, but it didn't. Now I'll have to spend more of my time and energy (which I didn't pay for) looking for a cap that fits.
About ten years ago, I worked at a Jaguar repair shop on the east coast. Everything was cut out with a berkebile gum cutter. Although the cans are smaller than some of the more well-known brands, they last longer because they work and you don't need as much to get the job done. This is the only product I've ever found that works as well as this one. It's a little pricey, but I'm glad to pay it to an American company that makes a product that works. You should definitely use it in a ventilated area because this stuff would drive California ecomentalists crazy. As a result, this item is probably more dangerous than anything else I own. It doesn't appear to clean the intake and valves any better than cheap carb cleaner and break parts cleaner. Maybe it's for a specific grime I wasn't trying to clean, but with all the added harsh chemicals, it's not worth using or paying for. The valve control is better than other brand cans, which is nice. If necessary, you can apply it slowly and easily without accidentally blasting it all over your body and back in your face.
After letting it soak for a while, it did help, though not as well as I had hoped given the price difference compared to degreaser, brake kleen, carb cleaner, and so on. However, I'll probably go back to my regular products due to convenience. costs.
This was purchased to clean the valves on my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3. Extremely powerful and strong. Use it in a well-ventilated area and protect yourself by wearing gloves and long sleeves. Also, allow it to sit for a while to allow the carbon to fully decompose.
I'm rebuilding a carburetor on an old car. I asked the school mechanic about using the 2 2 instead of gumout, and he advised me to do so. I've always used gumout, but the difference is obvious, and 2 2 is far superior. It has to be more effective at de-stressing, based on what I've seen. I'm chewing on what I can't see (i. e. , tucked away in tiny orifices and passageways). It's also what I use to clean the insides of stainless steel exhaust tips on a regular basis. These become clogged with soot, and 2 2 works wonders. I used to use stainless steel polish and had to spend time buffing and polishing by hand, but now it's just a quick spray and wipe and they're like new. It's all good.
