They're a lot more durable than the other off-shore brands I've tried. Please note the following disclaimer: These 1" ratchets are only used to secure my folded tarps and dunnage. I haven't used them to secure any part of a load on the trailer, so I can't comment on how well they perform at their maximum capacity. When compared to most ratchet handles, which are difficult to release while wearing gloves, this one is a good size.

I bought these straps to tie down my boat for hurricane season, but when I went to lower it, I forgot about them and discovered that they were holding up the 5000-pound boat perfectly. Much more powerful than anticipated.
