Questions & Answers

On this, what is the wire gauge? 10 gauge is what I'm looking for. ?

Both the battery harness and the 25-foot extension are made of 16 gauge wire. So it's not a safe bet that it'll be 16 gauge. It wouldn't be ten gauge in any case.

If I want to connect my controller to the battery, is this the same as the mc4 extension cable?

It's just a two-prong 25-foot extension cord that allows you to extend the length (distance) from wherever you plug it into whatever you want to extend.

Is it possible to use this cable with a 12-volt battery? Making an extra long extension with a 5' cable?

Yes, it is technically possible. However, I am unable to predict how the additional resistance will affect performance. This is connected to the already long Battery tender cable, and it works perfectly to charge my ATV battery.

Will these work with the Solar Chargers from Batter Tender?

Yes, this will work; I have a 10-watt solar panel and it works perfectly.

It has come to life!! This is fantastic
5/5

In less than 48 hours, I was able to charge four cars that were completely dead, keeping my pile of cars alive, which in turn keeps my wife happy, which keeps me alive: )br>The quick connects are fantastic; simply plug it in and go. br>I would recommend this beast to anyone who owns a collection of automobiles. br>Thank you for taking the time to read my review; please give it a thumbs up if you found it helpful.

Excellent charging and other extension cable
5/5

How I used my extension cable to jump start my Powersports battery (*only small 6V or 12V batteries): br>When a riding buddy's bike wouldn't start after we stopped for gas, I connected an extension cable to my bike, connected a polarity reversing adapter, and then attached the SAE battery clamps that came with my Battery Tender to his battery posts. His bike started, and we were able to finish our ride; fortunately for him, I keep my Battery Tender and components in my saddlebags when my bike is not in storage, so I don't lose them between seasons. br>br>I purchased this cable because I have limited power sources in my garage and needed more length to keep my Battery Tender and motorcycle plugged in and out of the way while storing them for the winter. I also purchased a set of SAE Polarity Reversal Adapters, which allows me to use the extension cable for jump starting and avoids any confusion. When using SAE power cables for jump starts, make sure the polarity is reversed; otherwise, you'll be connecting positive to negative and vice versa between the batteries - this is dangerous. NOT GOOD! because you'll increase the two batteries' amperage output and fry something on both bikes br>br>*I accept no liability for any losses incurred as a result of my example. I also don't recommend jumping starting a motorcycle with a car battery or while the engine is running, as this can result in damage or bodily harm. This cable should not be used to jump start larger vehicles (lawn tractors, boats, cars, or trucks). ) because the wire gauge is too thin to support the higher CCA battery ratings and could cause an electrical fire; also, do not connect batteries with different voltages (6V to 12V) because this could result in an explosion; and do not connect batteries with different voltages (6V to 12V) because this could result in an explosion. Once the other bike is up and running, disconnect the cable right away.

Garbage! From the start, it's been a disaster! Do not make a purchase! When I first got them, I tried them out but couldn't get them to read properly when they were attached
3/5

I tried again the following year, but had the same problem. This year, I tried them and they were the same as last year! This year my battery was completely dead, so after I had them on and it got a little charge, but I knew it wasn't a full charge, I disconnected these guys, pulled my tractor up to my porch, and made identical connections (but without these), and low and behold. On the Battery Tender 022-, my tractor is finally charging and reading correctly. 0209- The real question is whether it was just a bad read or if it wasn't charging at all. If the fully charged light illuminates and remains illuminated, the battery is defective, according to the manual. By removing the extension cables from the equation today, I've demonstrated that I don't. br>br>Over the last two years, I've nearly killed myself adjusting, moving, unplugging, and re-plugging everything. Because of the dreadful extension cables, I'm having trouble plugging in. I've wasted a lot of time and money on this. Of course, now that my battery has been damaged as a result of these cables, I'll soon be out of money. Thank you so much for your help, Battery Tender!.

Battery Tender gets a boost with this add-on
5/5

For two reasons, I decided to install a battery tender SAE cable on my motorcycle battery: One is to allow charging if my bike requires it, and the other is to power a Deltran USB charger. I needed a way to get the charge cable from my battery to my handlebars, so I used this to bridge the gap. I had a little more cable than I needed, so I bundled it up and zip tied it to the side to keep it out of the way while I ran the cable. My SAE cable is now routed through my handlebars to the location where it is needed. I can charge my phone while riding if I connect the USB charger to this; the cable works perfectly!.

This is a must-have item
5/5

In my garage, I have a Battery Tender 800 mounted on the wall, which I use to keep the battery in my Ski Doo MXZ in good shape. In the driveway, the sled is kept in a covered trailer. This extension cord was required in order for me to be able to power the sled in the trailer. br>br>The cord is of good quality, and it even has a protective cap on the far end for when it isn't plugged into the battery's pigtail. This wire is a must if the battery you're maintaining isn't right near power, or if you don't want the tender itself to be outside. At the moment, I just have it running out under the garage door and it's holding up just fine.

This is a fantastic addition

This quick disconnect extension cable works in conjunction with my existing Battery Tender to keep the battery in my spare truck fully charged. I didn't want my Battery Tender to be exposed to the elements or under the hood because I park my truck in the driveway. I also had no desire to run a 120-minute race. volt extension cord outside where it might get wet and cause an electric shock. Now that I have this long cable, I can keep the Battery Tender mounted on the garage wall and run the 12-volt battery. volt 25- As needed, extend your feet outside to the vehicle. Of course, read the manuals for safety precautions before connecting and installing anything. related data relevant to your intended use I can see the status LEDs on the Battery Tender from inside the garage, which is an unintended consequence. The cable is made to last: br>br> The connectors are securely attached to the cable, the insulation is thick, and one end of the cable has a plastic cover that snaps onto the electrical connector to keep it clean and minimize weathering when not in use. SOLAR USERS: br>br> This is a 16-gauge cable. When it comes to wire size-to-size conversions, the majority of wire sizes are Tables of capacity suggest a maximum of three. This size conductor can handle 7 amps; Before connecting your solar panel(s) / module(s), double-check the operating and short-circuit current ratings.

Because you shouldn't use a, these extensions are crucial
5/5

These extensions are necessary because a regular extension cord should not be used to bring the battery tender closer to your equipment. Even if you did this, there will almost certainly be equipment that is too far away for the maintainer unit's short leads. These are necessary and appear to be of high quality.
