Is it necessary to remove the grill or the tire and wheel well on a 2007? I've come across posts that describe each, but I'm not sure which one to follow. ?

Remove a couple of screws from the whell well and loosen the grill. It's a simple process to set up.

What is the procedure for putting it in place?

It's quite simple. There are several good videos on YouTube if you search for it. That is how I installed it on my friend's car for her.

Is it possible to use only the lens and not the rest of the equipment?

No, you're not going to be able to do that. The whole thing is made of one piece. The lens cannot simply be replaced. When I tried to simply replace the lens, it fogged up inside and became nearly unusable. Remove everything and start over.

Fits perfectly and is of good quality for the price; however, be aware that replacing this part is not simple; you will need to remove the wheel well liner and use a hex bit to remove some difficult-to-reach screws.
