It is possible to do this. There is a pattern that is available when a light is programmed called steady on. keep my red/white Feniex on my roof rack in addition to a steady white light running to a switch so I can use the lights for alley lighting.

The best light ever for any motorcycle
I have attached a 450 ohm resistor to the red wire in order to turn it into a tail light & brake light. When used as brake lights, the yellow color is used.

If you like It's hands down the brightest light available. It's a bad a** to be on FENIEX. During the day, you'll notice these lights, and at night, you'll see them off in a flash. The lights are excellent and one will not regret purchasing them.
These are bright and an OK product. I bought the dual colour I had no problems with them for a few months, and then they quit flashing. It had become tedious to have to reset the patterns so I removed them and switched to another Feniex product. There are several great Feniex products I have. There were just a few that didn't work out for me.
