This LED flasher may seem pricey, but provides more flash modes than most. It comes with a cigarette lighter plug that has two switches, an on/off switch and a momentary switch to change Fortunately, the flash mode selected remains in memory even after power is off, so you won't have to cycle through the flash patterns again and again. We are using two of these on a rollback recovery truck, so we removed the cigarette plugs and hard-wired the units. A wire is made up of 3 wires To change modes, you need power, ground, and momentary power. A simple process Easy as pie.
I think these lights are a good choice overall. Although they are not nearly as bright as Whelen super leds, they are an acceptable alternative if you don't want to spend 350 per unit on a class 1 beacon. In our fleet we used them initially. However, we eventually stopped using them and moved back to the whelen's. Compared to other brands, they're quite bright, but don't seem to have the same kick as Whelen. It would be ideal to use these if you were running construction or road work. It doesn't matter whether they're the firefighters or the first responders, they just don't have the punch you need along.
This is a disappointing mounting option. Over the years, I have used many feniex lamps and have found them to be extremely bright and of excellent quality. The other one is similar to this one. As a result, it is on the larger side when compared to other beacons, and the lack of a magnetic mount is a downside. I wish other companies, such as Abrams came with magnet mounts as standard. Update I bought a magnet mount and am disappointed in There appears to be no thought given to it. The magnet makes the light have an even bigger footprint than it already has due to its weak nature.
In a nutshell The halogen rotators on the back of one of our fire trucks were badly worn out, so we purchased a red and blue light to replace them. Though it doesn't deliver as much power as I expected, it's definitely a quality product at a reasonable.
This type of beacon is most reliable and bright, so I now own three of them. A solidly mounted one is on my tractor headache rack, and one is mounted to three pull magnets that hold 45 pounds. The vegetation all looks good in the sun and can easily be seen.
In a nutshell It's bright but could be more bright, which is a good value for your money. The device is very easy to use. Just plug it in, and you're set.
On a Mini golf course, I used it to create the Eiffel tower light on top of one of the obstacles. During the day, you can view it. The lights are awesome at night and you can see them from the freeway. I would recommend it.
