Unlike the rear view mirror, the shade is not rigid, so it will bend around the post alternatively, you can attach the shade lower on the windshield and it will pass below it.

The first time I saw some bad reviews, I was hesitant, but now I'm completely enamored. There were some reviews claiming that the suction wasn't as good as it could be. Perhaps the weather has something to do with it? It might help that I live in Texas where it's hot. As far as I know, mine works just fine, and I've been using it every day for about a month. My wallet folds back just fine. However, I do not just let it go. As long as I gently let it retract, there has never been My kids are exasperated by the old-school shade because they are in the sun too much. Whenever you need it, you should be able to get to it easily. There's nowhere good to store it yet still have it on hand I love how easy and simple the retractable is to use. Once they saw mine, all of my friends purchased one as well.
Though I liked the idea of retractable sunglasses, they just wouldn't stay suctioned to my windshield after a week of use. It has been cleaned multiple times, as well as the suction cups, but the problem persists. I like the concept, but think it could be improved in terms of functionality.
As far as the appearance and functionality are concerned, I'm more than satisfied. I found it to be exactly what I needed and it actually makes the place look better.

It has been 3 weeks now and it continues to hold up nicely. notice the difference in temperature in my car when compared to when this sunshade has the sun beating down on the dashboard. The one thing I noticed is it's best to keep the third suction cup on the driver's side. You wouldn't know if you pulled the suction open or not if the suction didn't stick during all day heat. You would return to your car and wonder if you had pulled it open.
I desperately need a sun shade for my truck, but I've been putting it off because I didn't want to have to store it in storage between uses, it just seemed like more work than it was I had a crack in my dash so I began to search. I liked it and have not had any issues except for the fact that I think it's strange not to cut out a section for the rear view mirror. Overall, I like it and have not run into any issues including the lack of cutout for the rear view mirror. After reading the instructions several times, I was certain that it did not state anywhere that I was to do this and it does not, but I may still do it regardless of the statement.
Despite the fact that the suction cups are flat, this product is completely useless since the suction cups do not suction to anything. Spend less money than you would like.
The first few times it worked well. It has been a few days since I reached out to the seller. A clip is coming off, the shade is hanging loosely off the suction cups and there is no support. The shade is too heavy and not supported. However, I think I received a defective unit because the shades do not work well to keep the car cool in the summer. As it falls apart, I'll probably have to buy another unless I can find another company who offers the same product and answers my questions when I send them A very good price and easy installation were the highlights of using this product. My concerns would be easier if there was someone to assist me.
