It is the same procedure in a 2012 4 door, you have to remove the bracket that holds the wiring cluster under the seat and zip tie the cluster to the underseat Despite its size, it did not bother me
Amazing how easily it came out and how no more than five minutes it took me to remove and install it with
It has heated seats. I have a 2015 Jeep JKU. In order to remove the electrical wires from the seat you must remove a bracket in the bottom of the chair. After that, you should be able to put the lock box in place. There are no differences between the interiors of the Jeep 2015 and the Jeep 2016.
I could use it with my 2013 four-door

All it takes is a pry bar. Having the box installed since about six months ago. The Jeep's lock box was broken into by someone who broke in. There was no pick on the lock. It looks like they just pry the drawer open with a screwdriver based on the small ding in the drawer. There is a Phillips head screw that holds the lever to the shaft. You have no idea what you are doing storing a concealed firearm in something like All I had there were a couple of nice pairs of A seller had said that the best thing about it is that most people have no idea it exists. You might not like to hear this, but a lot of soft tops or jeeps with an open top A device such as this should not be regarded as secure.
The item is designed to fit 2015 JKUs. This is an extremely easy to install app! 2015 is the year I obtained my It seems sturdy, built well, but the drawer track is not as nice as it appears on the box, but again it is not going to be used every day multiple times, and it would be nice if the drawer could extend a bit further for that reason it gets three stars rather than five. Despite a lack of perfection, I played with the lock a lot before installing it with no issues. The mounting bracket had to be packed with As I drove over lots of bumps, I did not hear any noise, according to I put this box in my Jeep and took some pictures of it. Considering everything, this is a great product that I am glad I purchased.
There is no doubt the executive office replaced a quality drawer glide with a piece of junk, cheap glide thinking no one would notice. However, I noticed immediately before anything else happened. I don't think it's even close to what you see in pictures and videos. Fraudulent misrepresentation on the verge of occurring. Because of this, the drawer rattles no matter what the road surface is like. It would be too much trouble to send it back in a box. This one is misrepresented, so I will be hesitant to buy any other Bestop products. If you don't like rattles, then this is not for you. I have updated Perhaps it is the design of the drawer or the drawer glides, but the drawer does not open all the way. The last seven inches of a drawer are impossible to access. The reviews from as far back as 2012 caught my attention, so I checked them out. I'm not sure if Bestop cares about the quality of their product or not. The complaints date back many years, so Bestop did what they could, they raised the price and lowered Sears is taking the approach of treating their customers like idiots by treating them like ignorant customers. Other than that, I will not buy anything from them.
It is true. I got this as a Christmas gift from my wife. (It did not appear on the Christmas list I had made. ) I did have this on the list for awhile, and when she asked me what I wanted for Christmas I told her look at the list. I know, move on. Throughout the day (11am) Christmas morning, I installed it in my 15 JK Unlimited. Taking 20 minutes was not an exaggeration. It was as simple as that to install. I didn't fill it with anything as soon as I got it. What I don't like about it is this. I was driving down my street and stopped at a stop sign the clunk I heard woke me up. After that, I hear a "clunk" every time I accelerate. It must be a box, I thought to myself. The answer is yes. However, despite this annoying feature I like the item. I find the product well made and due to the ease of installation, I give it 4 out of 5 Afterward, I wish the drawer had some type of spring, or something that would put pressure on the back of the drawer, to prevent the clanking noise that is caused by the drawer moving back and forth when stopped and started. My reason for wanting this was to keep a firearm locked away. Whenever you need to do something like this, this is the product you need. This would be a good choice for Jeepers who need a lockable compartment with a concealed design. I will take care of the 'clunk' now. Maybe I will modify this later to fix This isn't a concern for me, so I give this 5 stars.
system was already installed upon receiving the product, and all I had to do was mount the bracket and then bolt it to the vehicle's body. Overall, the unit appears to be very well built. It doesn't appear to have any weak points, the unit is remarkably heavy, and the interior comes lined with a soft lining to assist with protecting Although the box is easy to open, I have had a few misses opening it. I don't use it much, so it's not a huge deal, but during a ride sitting in the seat, opening with the key on my usual key ring can be a hassle. It would be easier to bend over to open it if you got out and got out of the car. I have learned that this thing is pretty easy to put in and take out with an 18mm socket and a minute or two of your time. I know this since my Jeep loves going swimming and I pull it out every time I drain and dry the tub. There isn't another option that I know of next to welding it. The final point I would like to make is that it will take some time to determine how well this holds up to the elements, particularly the elements of water and heating since the transmission passes directly underneath. I am curious as to the degree of resistance to rust, but again, it is a Bestop product and I expect this to meet the same level of.
The lock needs to be improved, so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It is a perfect fit with the USPS Mailbox Locks. For about $16 on Amazon, I replaced the mailbox lock that came with the factory in a box with a simple key with the number 5 stamped on it. The USPS lock has thousands of possible keys instead of the #5 it came with, so it will be more secure. It took around 10 minutes for it to be replaced, and you could do it while the vehicle was still running. Using the link below, you can access the lock.
