It's pretty cool but I wish it was more precise. It's just not possible for me to use those mechanical ones with a picture of a Jeep on them. I find that I can't level my RV with this unit because it can only measure in 5° increments. Apart from that, it seems to work fine. It kept resetting itself, which I think is related to the power supply. I think it doesn't like to have its power supply too low. I noticed that it was unreliable below 11 volts when testing it at 12 volts. The fifth verse. The USB connector did not like being at less than four volts, when I tested it. Wiring it up to a static 12 is what I've done. There is a 6v power supply so everything works well. Changing the time zone offset can be a bit confusing. The following hint may be helpful There are two buttons for setting the time zone. One is for moving the number down and the other is for moving it It took me a while to find the correct time. One thing I've found is that once you get the offset right, you see that the time changes automatically when you cross into another time zone. It is usually very close to the actual altitude of my location when I use the altimeter. With the digital speedometer you will have the same accuracy as the original, which is really handy to have. As I probably voided the warranty of that thing, but I really wanted it to look as if it came from the factory, so I removed it from its housing and made a mounting panel, so I could install it in my dashboard. In addition to adding control buttons, I also added RJ45 jacks to the GPS sensor and the main board so that I could mount the GPS on my dash for better signal reception. It looks too nice to remove right now, so I'll live with the tilt gauge. If the inclinometer worked by 1 degree increments, it would be perfect for me. At this point, however, it looks too nice to remove.
The unit I use every day in my daily driver vehicle has been with me for awhile now. There are a couple of concerning things that This is a. Whenever I turn off and on the unit, it randomly restarts (complete power down and restart). I verified that the power cable is not loose, but the issue seems to be internal to the product. While driving
, constantly changes the screen brightness between a low and high setting
. This thing goes into panic mode whenever I make a slight turn in my car. It signals that I am leaning over 40 degrees and begins to alarm. Review of the overall situation. This is a problematic and glitchy system. As I sat it on my dash, I did not expect it to perform as well as I expected therefore, I let it go by the return window.
Despite being a cool little device, the only downside is it isn't perfectly accurate, and it takes forever to find a GPS signal, and the time is off because it does not follow seasonal time changes in the US. It therefore is an hour off without any way of changing.
The device is easy to install but must be reset often, which is not always as straightforward as it may seem. However, the manual is not very helpful, but I was able to figure out how to use it myself. In addition to the excellent and highly accurate features, it also has great value. This accuracy is attributed to the inclinometer, which can sometimes be a little slow to react and, because of its tendency to need to be zeroed out, can sometimes be a little off. In summary, though, it is a good value, with the digital readout making it easier to read than a manual meter. And the optional extra features contribute to the overall rating of four stars.
A great piece of equipment since it measures coordinates by satellite, altitude at the location, and inclination angles of the vehicle to avoid rollovers. It also measures speed and raises an alarm when it reaches 130 kilometers per hour on a Mitsubichi L-truck. The 200th Anniversary of the Organization is set for.
There are times when it is glitchy. The GPS and cool features of this app make it a great pick.
This is a very good product, I recommend it.
