Is there a battery backup for this?

nope. You'll need to connect it to a 12v source from the battery. You'll also need to run a light lead from the switch so that it illuminates when the car is turned on but not when it's parked in the garage.

Do the clock and the light have their own electrical connections?

I looked over the clock's instruction sheet. Both the clock and the light are powered by separate circuits.

What color is the backlight on this clock when it's connected to the internet? Is it possible to change it to red if it isn't already red?

The bulb is protected by gel caps. I believe the colors to be red, green, and blue.

5"x5"x5" does not appear to be the correct size. What is the measurement in inches? It can't possibly be that large, can it? What are the dimensions of the hole, the face bezel, and the depth of the contacts?

This is the size of the box.br>The gauge is 2 1/16".

As it was listed as a 2, I ordered it that way. Although the case was 3125" in diameter, it only had a 2. When I first saw it, it was 125" tall. It is necessary to alter the description.
