The rolled edge of the lip is approximately 1 1/2 inches. It should provide a strong welding surface for the inside of the fender, in my opinion.
They're probably sold in pairs, as far as I can tell. As a result, all of the items were shipped together in a single carton.

They'll rust it down to the bare metal, of course. What has happened to the world? Does the seller have to mention that the product is bare metal and that the buyer must paint it to make it rust-free? So, let's return to the evaluation. I think the product is great and well made, and as long as I paint them before using them, I should have no problems; if my painting skills are poor and the product rusts, it is my fault, not the sellers'.
Excellent value for the money, and sturdy heavy gauge steel with smoothly rounded edges and no wrinkles or distortion, just as shown. Drilling mounting holes and painting are required, but with reasonable care, they should last 30-plus years. For the past four decades, or even more time.
extremely frail I didn't paint it right away because it was smaller than the original. 2 weeks after the installation rusted already!.
They were a little light weight at first, but once I welded them in place, they were perfect. I would recommend bolting them on.
If you need a light-weight fender, this is a great option.
Excellent item.
Installing it is simple.
For me, it is adequate.
