Questions & Answers

Do you know if it is compatible with ez hitch round bar receivers?

I think maybe. It would be best if I asked the eaz for help. An attachment is installed by bolting a "knob" to each end of the tongue and In general, as long as the "knobs" can be installed at a place where the ends of the sway bar can properly attach, you should be fine.

According to the listing, the item is the passenger side but the pictures show the left driver side?

It is simply the right hand (passenger side) version of part number 48380 that is shown in all its product photos. The Left Hand (Driver's Side) version part number 48381 is for this car.

Is it because there is an 18 dollar difference between left handed and right handed?

Right now, I'm looking at the right-handed unit I have on It is possible to interchange the handle screw and bolt locations by loosening the bolts, flipping the inner bar over and flipping the inner bar back in place. There you go! Control for the left side of the vehicle. In the end, I couldn't care less whether the sticker was upside down. A grease is applied to the handle screw where the thread locker has been applied.

Is it necessary to have a sway control for both left and right sides?

A lot depends on the trailer type and length, as well as the wheelbase of your vehicle. Having used two when pulling a 40 foot travel trailer behind a short bed f250, I can't remember the last time I needed sway control. After upgrading to a newer long bed I need them only for Despite my preference for one, I still use one in case I get passed by a semi truck to increase sway control.

It would have been better if we had added a second sway bar before putting the 8329SS in drive
4/5

After driving the 8329SS for nearly 1600 miles with the dealers recommended setup, we decided to make sure it was right. There is more than enough sway bar for our trailer, according to our trailer manufacturer. After reading the specs of the sway bar, we were told that it was not rated to handle all the weight our trailer carried. For less than $80, we installed the second sway bar before we made our recent 400 mile journey to Paul Wolff campground It has been the most pleasant towing experience we have ever Thanks for sharing this. I hope it makes towing a little bit more relaxing for someone else.

I would rate it as average
3/5

You may be able to tow with this option infrequently, but remember that the bars will also be destroyed if you forget to loosen the clamps before putting the trailer into reverse, or if you make an abrupt turn ("90 degree") from traffic. In addition, you'll need an impact wrench to place six holes into the plate or weld a plate to your trailer. In 11 round trips, I traveled 3400 miles to my neighboring state and both bars were bent by the end. I now use a hitch with weight distribution and sway control integrated and I believe it is a better compromise over the long haul.

It is indispensable for the towing of large trailers
5/5

The towing vehicle is as follows This is the trailer for the 2013 Ford Expedition This Keystone Outback trailer weighs 7,427 pounds (9000 pounds GVWR). My travel camper was 35' long

I had been towing it using a load distribution hitch a few times. Sometimes the trailer would sway while we were driving on the highway, and it was a bit unsettling. The sway from tractor trailers was most noticeable, and my trucks have anti-swayed a few times when they passed This vehicle was kept under control by an active sway system. Based on the length of my trailer, I decided to add this anti sway bar as well as the 48380 (passenger side unit) to my set up. If no sway bar mounting provision is provided in the hitch on the tow vehicle, the welding given in the instructions is not needed As my load distribution hitch already had mounting spots for the sway balls, I did not have to weld them into place (if you are installing only one unit, check out part 48386 This adapter bolts onto an existing bolt and does not require In order to drill a hole, 6 to 8 holes should be drilled There are 11/32" holes in the trailer frame so that the sway ball plate can be mounted. Within about 15 minutes (per side), I was able to add the ball plate with the hardware attached. Having taken a 1500 mile trip with our trailer over 7 days, we were amazed at how different it is from driving without it. In my experience, the only time I experienced any sway was when being passed by a tractor trailer from behind. I had no problems keeping control of the trailer and my truck when that happened. The trailer and my truck were gently dragged towards the passing truck. The fact that you turn sharply to make right or left turns in city traffic makes a lot of noise however, you do not hear any sound on the highway. Many people have commented that backing up is not possible when the sway bars are There are a lot of factors involved here, including The bars were installed both tight (engaged) and loose (disengaged) without issue and I was able to back up with them on both tightened and loose. As described in the instructions, ensure that the trailer will not be binding or overextending when it is moved into a "jack-up" position Using a knife was a good position, so I verified this before backing up, and had no issues doing so. In fact, I HIGHLY recommend this product. It has made a big difference in the time and effort I spend towing my trailer, as well as making the whole process more comfortable for me.

Make sure you purchase both left and right sway bars to ensure the best possible bnb experience
5/5

For two different trailers, I have acquired a second set of these wheels in the last three years. It will leave you less stressed and you won't have to worry about anything. A left and a right set up were purchased by me. To go along with the sway bars, it's highly recommended you invest in a weight distribution set up.

This Sway device enabled me to do a 4,500-mile trip last month. The product is great and the quality is excellent
5/5

As I mentioned above, this is my third sway control that I have installed/used over the past 14 years on a couple of travel trailers and EAZ LIFT is by far the best. There is just one thing I wish I'd done earlier try this brand/model.
