The hitch works fine with a round bar distribution hitch and we have no issues with it. We have been using it for over a year now to tow a 30 ft enclosed car trailer every weekend, and I believe it is excellent

It seems to be a very solid product of high quality. I added this to my 2016 superduty so I would get enough drop for our 30 ft deck. Please try again. As the shank that came with it was not able to lower the head low enough to level the camper for towing on this new truck, we used it with our EAZ Lift WD set up. Although this CURT shank extends outwards a little more than mine, that is no big deal to me. In fact, it may be a benefit for some people, as it will give them more room to drop the tailgate while hitched. This will do, we just need to use the adapter sleeve for the class V hitch. I would have preferred to find a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 with this much drop, but this will do. It did not provide this much drop in any class V shank that I found. This is an overall good product and I would recommend it, especially when you consider the price. This was a very easy purchase thanks to Amazon Prime.
On my camper, I have the eaz lift weight distribution setup for 1000 lbs. It was mounted on a Ram 1500 truck. This worked perfectly when I bought a ram 2500 and needed to account for the extra height of the larger truck. An additional 3 inches were dropped from the hitch height. I can still drop an inch if I need to if I just need one more. Pulling the camper perfectly level is now no longer an issue.
It's interesting how things work out. My equalizer hitch is now properly adjusted for the new truck now that I got the extra drop I needed.
I have used this program successfully on my RAM 3500 using EAZ- A lift hitch is used to lift heavy objects. During the installation, along with the Eaz-Connect cable, I installed a RAM 3500 Hitch weight distribution for the Lift 48058. When towing the trailer, I was unable to level it due to the shank not being tall enough. Using this trick, I was able to get perfect riding results! Something to keep in mind is that you are lowering the ball more than the standard hitch, which means that your chains and/or electrical wiring might need to be extended. While the electrical cord on my Jayco trailer from 2016 was long enough, I needed to extend the chains to pass over the vehicle and reach it. I agree that it sticks the trailer a bit farther into the ground than the original shank, but I think it is a great addition that allows me to lower the tailgate more easily with it attached.
In my opinion, the hitch pin is a bit too far out and causes the hitch to project out more than I would hope, but I had to trust their design and we made it over 3000 miles without any problems. The item matched the Reese WD hitch perfectly, and was exactly what we had been looking for.
A solid piece of equipment and very The item sticks out farther than most from the receiver, but not too far. Our requirements were perfectly met off the back of a Titan XD, which was delivered in good time.
It would be too low in the back of the camper even if I hooked up the camper correctly and set up my truck correctly. The item worked great with my Reese weight distribution system with no problems. It was well built, very good quality. It came in very beaten up, looks like the shipper didn't have the strength to make it. This was because there were some nicks and scratches.
An equalizer hitch was used with a three horse bumper pull trailer, so we needed longer drop bars. During long hauls, the trailer would be tossed around by the wind. So you really need to use the Due to the short hitch bar on the existing hitch, we were unable to lower the hitch to fit taller F250 trucks, consequently, the trailer was too high in front and the rear bumper was too close to ground. It was therefore necessary to add a new hitch. Several trailer stores offered to special order this bar for me for $120+ After checking online for a better price, I found this model on Amazon for $64 delivered (once you include shipping, other sites.
