This hitch is a perfect fit for the 2013 LS 460, and it cannot be improved. Other than the necessity of making a 2, there are no more requirements. This product measures 5 inches by 3 inches. It was easy to fit everything with the hitch installed as there was no rubbing or tolerance issues. I did notice that the 2013 foam barrier behind the bumper is slightly different from the 2010 LS and there was no issue with the hitch. 9 out of 10 is pretty good. The hitch does not reduce ground clearance due to the fact that it is not lower than existing chassis and suspension.
When it comes to installation, nothing goes smoothly. It is a solid, well-made hitch that fits well and does the job you need it to do. There is a small gap in the otherwise clear and helpful installation instructions that led me to give it 4 instead of 5 stars. Installing yourself is the only way you will understand what I am getting at here. After mounting the hitch, I noticed that there were gaps between the bumper cover and car body panels when I put the bumper cover back on. In fact, Lexus/Toyota vehicles are built with such precise tolerances that the 1/4" thickness of the hitch tabs prevented the bumper cover from fitting correctly. tend to think a lot of installers take advantage of the 'gap' in the instructions by not reinstalling the styrofoam filler piece, eliminating the need to reinstall it and allowing the bumper cover to fit closely. The multi-dimensional nature of the project My tool allowed me to trim 1/4" slices from the filler piece in order to compensate for the thickness of the mounting tabs. I would have found it much easier to handle this situation if there had been a note in the installation instructions to address this since getting out of a $75k car is a bit nerve-wracking from the outset.
I mounted this on my 2007 LS460 without any issues. In about half an hour, I was able to install the device.
