Why is there a hole in the front of Ram's lower body? And there are no wires visible; how do lights function without them?

Only 1 black wire is used to wire the hood ornament.

Is this part compatible with a 1984 Dodge D150?

It was a perfect fit for my 1986 Ford W150.

How do you connect the lights to it?

I connected it to the low beam headlights so it would turn on when the lights were turned on, but it can be connected to just about anything.

Is it possible to order white lights for this?

It looks fantastic. This is what I'm going to do with my 98 MB of RAM. Due to the hood latch, I had to adjust the placement, but the result is still fantastic. I haven't yet connected the lights.
