You won't need this kit unless your truck's bed already has a rail system. Most pickup trucks require attachments, which are included in the main kit.
The mounting clamps that came with the system will work with the system. However, if your Hilux has the same track rail as the Tacomas and Tundras, you'll need the adapter rail shown in the product image.
I have no idea. If the bed has standard bed rails/tracks on the inside, I assume it will work.

As a result, the kit is functional and of good quality. Here's the thing: it doesn't make any sense. When you purchase it, you must pay for two kits. That's why it's so pricey, and that's on top of the fact that you have to buy every other damn part separately. So you get everything you need to build a Toyota with utilitrac work, as well as everything you need to build a Nissan. As a result, when you're finished, you'll have enough parts to build another truck. You don't care about that. That is the dumbest way to raise the price of something that is already out of reach for a lot of people, so Yakima, how about splitting the dumb kit in half and charging half of what you do for it? That would be far too logical.
This one, like the majority of Yakima products, is on the expensive side. If you're using the Outback or Outpost truck bed tower mounts on a Tacoma or Frontier with bed rails, this product will increase the strength and stability of the towers. Once set up, it's simple to integrate into the bed towers and very stable.
This is not the case; you will only require one kit; however, I may have misread something and ordered an extra. Aside from my minor issue, the kit came with everything I needed to put it together on my 17 Tacoma, though there was a small learning curve at first due to the way the truck's rail system interacts with the kit orientation. Yakima produces a sturdy and well-made product.
These are substantial and well-made. I have a Nissan Frontier with utilitrak rails, which required having the holes slotted to fit. There are slots for a variety of mounting options on the Tacoma option. There was only one hole in the Nissan. Your mounts will sit above the bed rail caps if your utilitrack rails do not perfectly match the holes.
It was flawless! It worked flawlessly! The adaptor kit and rack have exceeded my expectations!.
These are rock solid once installed, with no wiggle room. They're fantastic.
It's beautifully designed, but it's also quite expensive for what you get. It would be nice if you could mount the tonneau cover while still using it.
