The Thule Rack bars on the Chevy Silverado cap were able to accommodate the Defender rack on my Wrangler. I did not have to buy another truck rack because I could use the one that I had. It is the bracket kit you need if you plan on using your Smittybilt racks with vehicles that have other roof rack bars. I only have a beef with these because the U-brackets are too long The bolts protrude higher than the rack bars of the Defender, so you can get caught up on the protrusion when moving stuff around on the rack. The amount of angst is not enough to pop a hole in a spare tire, but it is enough to make you angry. There's a chance I'll grind them down by three millimeters.
