Are you certain the truck rail bracket will fit? I upgraded from a 2005 Chevy to a 2012 Chevy, which necessitated the purchase of new mounting hardware, including stake bolts. The bed spacing had apparently changed, and the old one no longer fit. Since then, I've installed it on a 2015 Chevy. In any case, the rack will fit, but it will sit a little higher than before due to the change in bed height.

This should've come with the rack! br>You specify the type of truck you want. br>Parts for mounting should be included in the charge.
For my pickup, I placed an order for a ladder rack. Rear rack was able to be installed clamps without drilling after some location adjustments. Although the Amazon description stated that it would fit my GMC Sierra, the front rack did not fit as stated due to the boxed-in front end of the bed rails. I installed the front rack using Backrack no-drill mounts, which worked perfectly.
Furthermore, the exposed rail pocket mount bolt could have been more thoughtfully designed. Update: I've been using it for nearly two years now and have had no regrets.
This is a great kit for putting your Backrack together. I'm not sure if it's the best fit for my truck, but it'll do for now.
Mount with a lot of heft to it. It's very simple to set up. It took about 30 minutes to get everything on and secure. The end result is fantastic. I wish the zinc hardware had been replaced with stainless steel.
Even after purchasing a used backrack and installation kit, it looks great and is very sturdy. I would strongly suggest it.
I bought this kit after speaking with the manufacturer in Canada about mounting my rack on my 2005 Silverado. I was able to use the older rack by swapping out the mounting hardware because the beds were slightly different. The plates that go on the rail as well as the channeled bracket that the actual rack sits in are included in the kit. With my wife's help, it took about 45 minutes to thread the nut onto the pocket bolt and tighten everything down.
Making the rack a universal box and selling the mounting hardware separately saves them the trouble of keeping separate packaging and inventory, but they should just sell the rack and mounting hardware for a single price and ship two boxes instead. br>Now that that's out of the way, the mounting hardware was fairly simple to install and fit well, with one exception: The stake pocket mounting bolts were too short for my spray-on spray-on spray-on spray-on spray-on spray-on spray-on spray I had to skip the split-ends because I was using bed liner. To get the nut to seat to the full threading of the bolt, use a ring lock washer. BackRack wouldn't go bankrupt by adding another 1/4" to the bolt length, and it would help those of us who have sprayed our racks. on the liners.
