After mounting the Hayden 679 cooler on the cross bars in front of the radiator with wire ties, I had to return the product. I'm using a Grand National.
Tube clamps are used to keep hoses running to and from the cooler secure and not to rub against each other or loosen. I decided not to use them because of how my hoses ran, but I can see wanting them if you want to.
My knowledge of mechanics is not that good, so I cannot tell you what it looks like. The only thing I know is that it is on the truck and working well. I hope that it can be

As soon as I tinkered with the components, the kit worked for me. I have my trans cooler mounted out front of my AC condenser and it is securely mounted.
Based on the parts supplied, a wide variety of combinations can be created.
It was absolutely necessary to have this kit in my case. Overall, it is a great kit!.
I think it's a very good kit (which, or something like it, comes with many transmission coolers, mind did) that could be a great help to many vehicles to make a better connection, but not all, there has to be something to connect it to.
Purchased this product and thought it was great. The hose was too short, but I bought an extra at an auto parts store and it fit well. A major downside to my Jeep I noticed it was leaking bad and had lost a quart of fluid after driving 12700 feet on a Jeep road. During the first six months after installation, the unit failed. There was no obvious reason as to why the cooler cracked at the bottom. Now I'm on the lookout for a better unit.
This method was used for installing the trans cooler on my 01 Ford F-150 and it was very successful.
To mount a Hayden 679 cooler kit on my 2001 Ram 1500, I used this tool. Despite bending the brackets as needed to get a better fit, it has held up well months later without any problems.
It was used to install a Hayden transmission cooler 676 on a Pontiac Aztek. Even though the brackets worked great, mine came with bolts and no nuts, despite the fact it is pictured with nuts. I had to purchase some from the hardware store, which was a bit of an inconvenience. Except for that, it does what it is supposed to.
