The Northstar 9 is equipped with these. After changing from a 15' RAM 2500 to a 17' RAM 3500, I replaced my single rear wheel with an Igloo. pieces are very well made and of high quality. Only if they were 1/2" wider would they be more useful to me. There is only about 3/16" clearance on each side of the camper when backing under it. This can be quite nerve-racking. Since there is no clearance on the fenders, I have put some painters tape on them just in case! As the Northstar has a 7'6" width, your camper will not work if it is narrower than this. It is essential to have a wide camper so you have enough overall clearance.
When you have a dually and a happiness jack, this is the product you need to get. The truck camper stuff is expensive. I don't know of any cheaper options besides making your own. The gate hinges at the local steel shop cost $160 for a 1500-lb gate, so saving that much is not very significant and at least this setup was designed based on years of engineering experience.
The purpose of buying these was to extend the height of the happiness by far enough to get across the dually to replace the 3/4 ton SRW. They did a great job even with the tight fit!.
It is overpriced. For what they do, they are heavy and expensive. The problem is that they don't.
Adding an extension to a trailer jack.
Perfect fit for my 2003 Arctic Fox 1150. The bolt threads on two of the bolts are crushed and I had to file them in order to fit the nut. I guess it was damaged during The paint was also chipped a little. In general, it is a great product, but I do hope the seller will use more robust packaging going forward.
I am glad I purchased them. I threw away my old ones because they Some of my old brackets had been bent and were causing problems with my jacks. I had to replace them as they had broken. Having all your jacks line up perfectly vertically is a highly important part of the game. Replacing worn, bent, and old brackets will improve the structural integrity. The more you use it, the safer you will be, and the less likely your jack will be damaged.
