" As others have stated, these are snug, but before tapping them in, make sure the cap is lined up straight and even. I'm not concerned about losing these as much as I was with the original caps, so snug is preferable to loose. Due to a strong crosswind, I lost my last two while camped. These caps are attractive and look identical to the originals, but are made of a more durable rubber.
They appear to be a little oversized, as others have mentioned. The material, on the other hand, is far superior to that of plastic. The first time I put them on, I boiled some water on my stove and then soaked these in it to soften them up. I used some lubricant around the edge and a light hammer the second time I put them on. The third time, only the hammer was used. Finally, I'm able to put them on by hitting them with my hand. 26A bumper Winnebago.
br>However, it was a PERFECT FIT, and the rubber is just the right durometer to ensure that it does not fall out on the road like the original unit did.
This is a good product; it's the standard end cap that's been around for a long time. It's made of hard rubber that hasn't been flashed. It was a little difficult to install, but a few whacks with a rubber hammer got it in place. This indicates that it will be difficult to remove. This is an excellent item.
This was purchased to replace a bumper plug that came with our camper and had come loose while driving down the road. To replace them, we ordered two more - They're a little tighter than the originals.
It was extremely difficult to put it on for the first time, but I'm guessing that's a good thing because if my originals were as tight, I wouldn't have needed to purchase these. It'll be interesting to see how well it holds up over time, but it looks like it'll be fine.
It appears to be a little too big. In the end, I pounded it with a rubber mallet. br> I don't usually remove it from this end, so it works for me.
I had lost one of my original bumper caps and needed to replace it, so I purchased these. The main difference is that they are made of rubber, which is what distinguishes them.
