That should be the case since the sleeves do stretch a little. My John Deere 3039R tractor has these chains to keep the chains in place and they work very well.

Don't let the job slip by

They do a good job of tensioning tire chains. For my purposes, I use a. I have them on my compact tractor, and I am satisfied with their performance. I can only think of one negative comment, that after a season or two, the rubber dries out and cracks. They are left on my tractor from the beginning of the winter until spring, exposed to the elements for that time.

The chains on the front tires of my John Deere 950 tractor are decent and inexpensive

I used them on the chains on the chains. - they did a good job - It was easy to put on and take off, did what it was supposed to do (keep the tension on the chains), and didn't break after one winter season.

While I didn't get the opportunity to use them while driving in snow, I tested them while testing chains before a long road trip, and they were as expected, felt good, and should hold up to heavy use with proper installation.

Other tighteners are not as tough as this one

They worked great with my skid steer chains, as you can see in the picture. I was told the green ones were the best, but as you can see in the picture, these worked better.

The chain on the tire is too tight

Everything went according to plan. When driving, make sure the tire chains are tight. There was only one issue some of the stickers fell off when they were stored You have to store the links in a storage bag since they do not crimp onto the rubber, so they generally fall off. This would be my second purchase.
