Product Description

EASY TO ASSEMBLE KIT -- The deionized spot-free car wash system includes a dual DI unit housing with mounting bracket, plumber's tape, (2) cartridges, a wrench, adapters, a flow regulator, and instructions.
This deionized water system is suitable for any type of vehicle. Hard water spots are no match for it. If you need to clean a car, truck, motorcycle, RV, motorhome, bicycle, or even the outside of your windows at home, then you should pick it up.
Removing TDS from water - By passing the water through the resin, TDS (total dissolved solids) are removed from the water. Several hundred to two thousand TDS can be removed from each cartridge before the resin needs replacing.
LETS YOU DO ALL THE HEAVY LIFTING - With this water deionizer for car washing, you can rinse your car with zero streaks without having to towel it off. After washing your car, let it air dry. Afterwards, use a spot-free car rinse unit to remove any excess grease. This is as simple as it gets.
The DI Auto Wash system is built to last, with quality craftsmanship that will serve you for many years to come. In a few months, the resin in the cartridges will be used up, and they will turn tan. Fill your tank with deionized resin in bulk and change the color.

Questions & Answers

What do I have to do to get resin? Where can I get it?

It is often sold in raw form which is far and away the cheapest way to get it since this stuff is not cheap! You can find several online resellers of DI resin by doing an internet search for the term. There are some companies that sell a cubic foot for as much as $200 In order to refill this kit into an excellent condition, you will need 300 or so and you will likely to fill it several times over, so search for a deal on something like 1/4 or 1/2 cubic feet which you should be able to use for a few To make mixed bed resin, you'll need it.

How is the water flowed through the cartridges? Are they run simultaneously, or are they run ?

I should mention that the brown color is not an accurate indicator, as one poster noted, they continued to work for some time after the A water tester will allow you to verify how clean your water is by yourself, so I guess that depends on your definition of a clean water. My bulk media lasted a long time after it became brown, so I am not sure about the original media that came with it. When I used this setup to rinse my car, it was very short lived and not even close to being worth it, but I have pretty bad water so you just have to see how long it lasts for you. Furthermore, I suggest that you use it sparingly since, in my experience, I have only found 3 effective The amount of water is about 4 gallons if it is done correctly. This is also what I use with a RO setup to greatly extend the life of my DI filters, like 50x, but whichever we use, there is no purpose to using a 10-micron filter It's not necessary to use 20 gallons when you can use 3 Due to the basic fact that you mostly pay per gallon but you only use DI, you pay I have a question regarding The structure consists of two 10"x2" filter housings that are connected by a short section of pipe, along with a metal bracket for mounting on the wall. It would be a simple matter to purchase a couple of $15 housings, a few refillable cartridges, some bulk DI media, and the fittings needed. I will probably buy four filters if that's how I use this system because I would likely use two filters if the water were to be bad, and I would probably use one filter if the water were to be nice.

What is the best way to use this in my dishwasher as a hard water filter?

You can put media in there, but I don't believe it's as simple as putting it inline. How long it will last depends on how hard your water is, and you can refill these with new media when needed. As long as you buy refillable cartridges and refill them with bulk media, like I do, at least. They last a really long time since I use them after my RO filter, so it's already pretty clean water they're filtering. I find that browning toast is not a sign that it is The one I had went brown in a couple weeks but continued to function The reason why I changed mine was not that they stopped working, but that the water tasted As I was searching for a reason for the problem, I swapped out all my other filters, after which I changed the resin. The beads must have had some nasty stuff growing on them? For the record, I originally bought this DI setup to spot-free wash my car and after just one use almost all the spots began to turn brown, as in you could watch them turn, as in they turned I know I'm asking a lot since I have 500ppm of water, but just to let you know. Upon first use, the method did work, but after several washes I had a few water spots that were unsat after a couple of days. The car should not be wiped/dried by hand! It should be washed, then rinsed, and I should be able to drive I use my RODI to do that, which means RO followed by DI water, as I mentioned earlier. In my case, I use an Amazon 14gal RO tank and bump the psi up to 80 to get a good flow out both the drinking faucet and when I wash my If you wish, you could wash the car using a larger hose or tube from the tank. My 2 year old has used it for years now, and it has never let me down. You could potentially do something similar with the dishwasher as well, but I don't know what its water use is. The system also doesn't seem to be able to handle hot water and my speculation would be that something in the system won't The water leaves the DI or RO unit after heating since your dishwasher doesn't heat its own water (I've never owned one so I'm just guessing), so I guess you'd have to heat it after it leaves the DI or RO unit. My feeling is that it would be too much work. However, in my experience with my car, I use it only for the rinse water after I wash, so I believe you could do the same with a dishwasher if you make a valving system for switching from dirty to clean water. If it's supposed to do it's thing, suppose you have a special rinse that dumps a couple gallons of clean water into it, after it's done? That's just a thought, but I believe it's possible if you are willing to make it happen. I saw the seller suggest an inline refrigerator/ice filter, but that seems impossible to use. I also can't imagine how it would provide enough water flow. these things left you with spotless water, then no RO or DI would be needed. I've only found that they do help with taste to some extent, but that they do not guarantee spotless results, and I am not sure that they even do anything at all. There are three sediment filters ending with 1 micron and three carbon filters at the end of them, all ending with 1 micron, before my RO filter, and while my water tester says it barely scratches the surface, I'm sure it catches some stuff. It is also possible to install a whole house water softener, or to install a small onsite unit like this, just for the There are two big questions here how long hot water will last and how long will life span be.

It had very low filtered pressure, so I removed the regulator, and it is working now. Do you think that is okay? I also think that the inlet fitting is bad, causing the leak to continue?

reason Spot Free Car Rinse is able to work is because the resins in the mix bed effectively remove the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) from A TDS is a mineral, like calcium, that leaves spots on the water when it TDS must be removed from the water when passing through the resin at a slow rate. In this scenario, the resin is not going to be able to absorb all of the TDS and you will still get The Flow Regulator needs to remain installed during this process. Are you referring to the connection point where your garden hose connects to the unit when you mention a leak? Teflon tape can be used to stop any water leaks if that is the case.

CLICK HERE FOR A LISTING OF If a company makes RODI units for fish tanks, they should be aware that only using a DI filter is not enough to remove all TDS from water and to maintain a flow rate sufficient to drench It is also my fault that I didn't realize this. As a result adding a RO filter will not bring sufficient pressure to spray your car, so this device merely wastes your money and time by consuming DI resin without producing any consistent results. As I see it, there are two solutions. 1. 1.

. Make sure your filter fills a 55 gal plastic drum with an auto shutoff valve so you can use it properly. You can then spray your car with true RODI water using a pump, hose, and nozzle. It should fill back up so that the next wash will be effective. If you rely on a filter setup, it could take 48 hours to get 55 gallons of RODI water and you will go through filters very quickly. As an alternative. 1. *bridge*bridge2. Use Meguires (or a comparable hybrid ceramic wax) to clean and wax your car. In this way, you get a hydrophobic coating at the surface where water easily deflects off of it. If you are using plain water from a hose, you can do so. When you are done, use an electric leaf blower to remove the water from Make sure you don't fry yourself by letting the cord sit in water (use a battery blower to dry your hair). within a short period of time and is very effective. There will be no water left after you remove 99% of it. Once your clothes have dried off, you can use a drying cloth, chamois, or microfiber to remove the remaining water. As a result, your car has a spotless finish and you don't have to replace any costly consumables. Here's something I hope will help my fellow car nut!.

This works perfectly

I got exactly what I wanted. Having a pressure washer hooked up in my garage for years is second nature to me. It's always ready for me to wash my vehicle, all I have to do is push a button and it blasts. And when I learned to use a deionized rinse, things got even easier by removing the most "labor-intensive" Let the drying begin! In addition, I wanted something that I can recharge using bulk resin that is something I can reuse several times before having to recharge and that I can see how my resin is holding up without having to buy throwaway canisters. Using this unit, you can achieve all of these things. As a result, I can make use of the existing canisters and save costs, see how the resin is holding up with one glance, and the entire system mounts on a wall and takes up very little You get all that for under a hundred bucks (plus maybe $25 for the PVC). It has taken me about 3 times to wash my truck and twice to wash my car and about 3/4" of resin has been used. While I don't know what my water is like if it has contaminants (I'm on town water), I can say it looks like I'll get at least a season out of these before having to refill. It does exactly what they tell you it will, I simply give my car one final rinse with the DI water and walk away after I've cleaned it. With this method, you can be sure your dish is more spotless than with a chammy, which may still A single cloudy day today (about all we're going to get in upstate NY these days! Update

Now that we've been on this trip for a year, I can report that the aluminum canisters did everything I expected However, it was barely positive A season's worth of fun can be had! It's about time to refill them for this season with my bag of resin that I got last week. It looks like I'll be able to refill this $60 bag several times (seasons). It has been an excellent acquisition for the money I have invested. I love how it works and how it functions!.

A REMINDER TO READ BEFORE YOU BUY - A large number of repairs are not worth the cost to your vehicle
3/5

Before you buy, be sure to read this - Please read the following information before making a purchase. 1. We buy expensive water systems only for our cars, and have a very expensive water system in our home. Then add 2. There have been 4 times (only four times) when I've used this. The
3 section. By the time the four cartridges have been used, they are already brown*. In order to install it, we paid for it It's mounted in one of our garages, so more money is being spent out the door. This is five. Sadly, today was the fourth time I washed my car, and the smell, as well as spots it left behind, did not appeal to me at all. The sixth point. The exchange has been two days since the deal, so I'll call American Express. Short and sweet, sometimes reviews are from buyers who are remorseful, user error, etc. But, the ones you read here, well, you can trust If we had just purchased the one we already have for the boat, we would have been fine.

This ad does not work as an inline ad- There is no charge for the There is water from the spigot in San Antonio that is rated between 220 and 275 parts per million
3/5

After going through the filtering system, I am able to get about 2 gals of water that measures 22ppm. Following that, you'll have to pay about 120 pounds per week. My computer does not work with it. I can use this once then it's a waste of money. If you have water in my range, don't waste it. When you pay that much, it would be more logical to use a RO/DI unit that stores water in a tank which can be connected to a hose. * Here's my opinion after playing with it a few more weeks I'm still not so sure about it as a spot free rinse if your water is over 250ppm, but I think it has to do with the flow of the water. Slowing down the water so it comes out as a trickle gives me water that has a ppm measurement of about 5. It will not work for an inline car rinse system, but if you have a portable pressure washer, (Sun Joe makes one with a five gallon water reservoir), you can use this to make water that has a low PPM that can be used in that system.

The first canister is about 1/4 to 1/3 full. The resin seems to be being depleted very fast, but then again, I'm washing and drying it quite often A lot of time was spent rinsing the car of my wife.

This is the picture of my truck after it has been washed with one (one). It passed at most 30 gallons of water through it, and here is what it looked like after it was done.
