With an 8-millimeter play to the wall, it sits at the bottom of buckets from Home Depot
5/5

As I was wiping the bucket, I wanted something to keep the sponge from touching the bottom where the dirt particles are heavier. It's just a matter of elevating the sponge off the bottom, that's all it is. notion that these devices "trap" dirt, but I could see the argument that four large standoff fins reduce turbulent flow at the bottom to keep it from being kicked up, but by my definition, that's hardly Alternatively, if you are truly counting on this effect, then following a similar logic, you would want the fins to sit right down where the dirt is and not higher up the bucket) That said, it was exactly what I wanted at a lower cost than other popular brands. The cylinder sits at the bottom of the bucket, with 1/8" of play in the bucket wall. It fits a Home Depot bucket. The picture I have uploaded shows a bucket I bought in July of this year (the bottom corner on the inside is very rounded). old HD bucket, which was not rounded (no rounded corners), and it also fit it, though maybe with a little more room. I was pleasantly surprised with how sturdy it is, which is unusual for me. The webbing is thick. The size of the hole is *2mm (*075"). Also, I didn't even think to consider that the spacing of the web might be too narrow to fit certain fingers, so the five finger holes were surprisingly useful. Due to the fact that I don't use it to scrape the sponge or mitt, I did not experience lift off or floating off the bottom as some other reviews stated. It would have been easier if I stuck to using the more well known brand names to avoid the hassle and disappointment that occasionally happens when buying an unknown brand (we've all been there). The result of trying to save a few dollars is to spend more in the end). Yet it seems that the parent company of this item, Schroeder & Vogt, is not listed on the company website There has been a Tremayne car cleaning products for a while, and a google search indicates they are actually the manufacturer of some of the Mothers-branded The purchase was a good one for me overall. My goal is to provide you with a helpful review.

Buy it and don't worry about it! No use at all! The bucket does not fit the regular size like advertised and it was more of a hassle to push it down constantly since it kept flopping

Grit screen is not my cup of tea
3/5

So far, I have not had a good experience with grit screens. Standard 5 gal. jugs will not fit in it. As it does not fit tightly at all, it must be altered so that it will seat snugly and NOT float around, stirring up the grit I want to settle in the bucket's bottom. It seems like I have a lot of buckets, but I haven't come across a bucket that has the taper at the bottom that would hold this in place. *** If stirring up the grit doesn't bother you, then that's fine. Detailed supplier bucket/screen kits available from these sources can help you create a tight fitting grit screen that will remain in place. You can create a bucket within a bucket if you modify it a bit. Update

The outside edge of the rubber tube was wrapped around by slicing the inside bit on a diagonal. This fits in my bucket perfectly now, and the screen stays put even when water is dumped on it.

This option is decent, but there is an alternative that is better
3/5

To use in the bucket I use for car washes that I purchased at Home Depot, I purchased this. There is too much space around the sides for it to fit inside the bucket. The "grit trap" slides around anytime you attempt to wipe your mitt, sponge, whatever along it. It wants to climb up the bucket side whenever you swipe it. I find that this makes it more difficult to use effectively and more frustrating to use than it is effective at cleaning. Taking the $8 discount as a whole, it isn't a complete loss, but I would buy something else if the choice were given to me.

The Car Washing Product is a product designed to wash cars
5/5

It seems the product doesn't quite fit in some buckets, or is too loose in others, according to a number of reviews. In addition to pool coloring buckets and miscellaneous buckets I had lying around, I tested it at Lowes and Home Depot. Most of the buckets found in Lowes and Home Depot fit comfortably (with about 18" of side play) and snugly in the rest. This product was well worth the money, especially since it comes with two different sizes of buckets. You get a great deal on the pack.

5/5

You can buy it here I was happy with the price. This is a good price. Since the size issue (diameter) was bothering me, I spent far too much time reading reviews. In my project, I am using inexpensive white buckets (I have four and two are perfectly aligned, and the other two have 1/8" wiggle room), and the buckets have variances It is possible to see how much dirt is in the water by looking at the white buckets. The two bucket method of rinsing is the method I use (one bucket with soap and one to rinse the dirty mitt, and the other to re-rinse the mitt) After washing, scrub the mitt (first with soap and then with a power-washer First, wash the washer, then soak it in the soap cannon, and finally, wash it in the bucket. Since the buckets are manufactured within tolerances, I do not expect the manufacturers to change their product due to the quality of the grit traps. However, these work well and do exactly what they should. The question is how thick are these shoes in comparison to the others we sell here and how long will they last? If you can buy this for under $7 dollars a piece (for two), then you can really overthink it.

They fit perfectly in store buckets that are orange in color
5/5

While I have not used it yet, the big orange store 5 gallon buckets drop all the way to the bottom if I use this. As far as I can tell, the space around the edge is about 1/8 inch and it has a durable, good design. It is easy to remove, and it looks sturdy, so I give it four stars.

The bucket spins around while the shrimp is inside
3/5

The bucket is different and has a grate integrated into it Therefore, the grates stay where they are. As soon as I received this, I noticed that it just spins around with whatever toothbrush or mop you insert. Although for some people this might not be a big deal, I prefer to grind up the car washing towels on the grate between every rinse to ensure they are well cleaned. There isn't much you can do with this thing besides spinning around and not being able to use the thing to actually remove particles. It would have been more prudent to buy another bucket that had a grate integrated.
