If my memory serves me correctly, they had spools available for purchase when I was looking for the thread.

Selected User Reviews For Sewing Thread 100% Polyester Spools 5 Colors 3000 Yard Spools Overlock Cone for Serger Sewing Machine
This thread is inexpensive, but it breaks easily, so I've had to resort to backstitching for everything, which is inconvenient.
br>Stitches evenly and feeds well. Because it lacks the neon sign look I associate with highly polished polyester, it's better suited to soft natural fabrics. It's a little hazy, but it's reliable. If the goal was to create a full synthetic that looked like cotton, it accomplished that goal admirably. It sheds more lint than glossy thread, but it doesn't fall off the spool either. br>br> br>br>There are no knots, lumps, breaks, or soft spots, only a nice natural look and a strong grip on the fabric. As a result, the fuzzy surface will hide the occasional broken stitch over time, but it will take more effort to rip out a seam than its glossy counterpart. br>br>Doesn't pucker when washed.
My serger likes it a lot - I'm not having any issues at all. It is extremely strong and does not break or tear. I'd suggest it.
Because of the color palette, I was drawn to it: Grays, whites, and blacks In addition, the price is very reasonable. br>The thread itself is inferior to many of the brands I've used in the past. It broke twice while I was sewing with it, and threading it onto my sewing machine needle was extremely difficult. Even though the description claims that the thread is sturdy and durable and "will not fray, break, or tangle up easily," you can tell it isn't very smooth just by looking at it. " Even winding it onto a bobbin was difficult. I'll make it work, but it won't be my first choice.
This thread is designed specifically for sergers. Sewing machines are not included. It's probably possible to sew with it, but it'd break a lot. I don't have this problem because this is only used for my serger machine; it's a good deal, and it arrived quickly.
I don't care for this thread, but I figured I couldn't return it because I'd already started using it. oh well. It's full of lint, and I'm hoping it won't clog up my sewing machine; also, I'd never bought thread on this size spool before— they're huge— so I made a little stand out of wire to help the thread feed properly.
These spools appeal to me greatly. The size and color are ideal, but I'd like a wider range of colors, such as the rainbow and all its shades, which I would have purchased at the time but couldn't find. I sew frequently and consume a lot of thread. Despite the fact that I gave it a perfect score, I have yet to use any of the features. I can tell it was well worth the money just by looking at it. Thank you very much.
