We have three machines, and I'm not sure what brand they are. It is adored by all. We feel the same way. I intend to place another order. I don't use thread color charts because I prefer to use colors that I like or that my customers prefer.
The spools arrived in cardboard trays, which were stacked in the shipping box. Plastic was used to seal each spool individually. The thread holder shown in the picture was not included. I keep mine dust-free by storing them in Walmart-purchased plastic stackable drawers.
It has 1,100 yards per spool, according to my calculations. It's a lovely thread.

On my Brother SE625, there were no issues. Before purchasing this thread, I read through the majority of the reviews. This set appears to have been marketed under a variety of brand names over the years. Let's face it: no matter what brand name is on it, it all comes from the same Chinese factory. My set was from Embroidex, and it included a laminated double-sided color chart. The color chart turns out to be useless, not because it's too small, as some have suggested, but because the color representations don't even come close to the actual thread color. It's also not well organized, making it difficult to use. In terms of a conversion chart, Put it out of your mind. Nearly ten years ago, I noticed that someone had left their own comment. That was extremely useful, but it has since become obsolete. I'm currently working on my own version. I've bought the smaller Embroidex kits in the past, and they came on a black spool, so it's ridiculous that the manufacturer doesn't include a conversion chart. These came on a clear plastic spool, which is convenient because the color name/number can be written on the bottom with a sharpie. The top sticker has very small print and will come off or be damaged over time. It is simple to begin a thread-- Without using any tools, you can easily locate the end piece and unravel it. I'm using a Brother SE625 and this thread hasn't caused me any issues. When this set is finished, I will purchase another.
After 7 months of using the Embroidex 63 spool set, I decided to invest in this. The thread has an amazing sheen to it and the colors are vibrant. The only drawback is that there are no thread color charts to compare to other thread brands. For all of my projects, I do my matching visually, so this isn't an issue for me. At [, you can see color numbers, pictures, and names. If you need to replace a spool that you use frequently, they also sell individual spools. I've read in other reviews that the Embroidex thread causes problems with embroidery machines, but I haven't had a single problem in 7 months of embroidery, and I embroider almost every day. This thread is actually my favorite among the major brand threads I've tried.
For the past year, I've been using these. They're a lot of fun. In comparison to the $3 per spool you'd pay in a store, it'll cost you about 50 cents per spool. The thread quality is excellent for the price. br>br>My only criticisms are as follows:
1. Labels and numbers: They're on a sticker on the top of the thread that comes off when you load it. After you've used it, there's no way to keep track of the number. The sticker is larger than the end of the spool, so even if you carefully pierced it, the sticker would catch your thread, even if you could still read it.
2. Spools that are difficult to get started: It can be difficult to locate the beginning of a spool every now and then. The majority of them are fine, but about one-fifth of them are a challenge. It's a lot of fun to store these. br>br> > I ended up purchasing a few large spool racks and mounting them to the side of my organization shelves, as shown. br>br>Apart from that, they're bright, gleaming, and lovely. I get a few thread breaks/frays now and then, but I don't think I've ever used a thread that didn't mess up once in a while. br>br>These are particularly useful when doing intricate machine embroidery that necessitates a large number of colors in very specific tones.
This thread was purchased and delivered on time. We were on our way back from Arizona to our winter home. My Bernina 830 had to be taken to the shop because the timing was off and she couldn't sew. If you're a sewer, you're well aware that it's a two-step process. Waiting period of three weeks I was so excited to get my machine and get started on my design. To make a simple feather design with five colors, it took 5 hours. After a few stitches, the thread broke; I tried again, and the result was the same. I switched needles (titanium Organ brand), going from 90 to 80 to 75. I used the slowest setting on my machine. Finally, after many thread breaks and a lot of patience, I finished the design. I read through all of the comments, but it didn't appear that anyone had attempted to use the thread. To make matters worse, the time limit has expired, and I am unable to return the thread. Not a happy camper, to say the least.
This set was recently ordered by my wife, and it appears to be a good deal for the most part. Certain colors have experienced some breakage. Some appear to be superior to others in terms of quality. Some of the spools have a rough spot on the end where the thread pulls away, which I discovered. It appears to be the result of bobbin molding- Breakage on some, but not all, of the colors was solved by smoothing it off with an emery board. br>I've spent a LOT of time trying to figure out who made this thread in the first place- It came in an Embroidex box, as far as I know. However, the color numbers are incorrect. After reading a number of reviews and receiving responses to questions, I've come to the following conclusion: It appears that sets are made up of pieces from various manufacturers, so color numbers will vary from one set to the next (we can't say for sure because we only ordered one set, but this appears to be the case based on responses to questions). It appears to be Marathon in our case because the numbers and colors match. Some of the sets appear to be from Radiant, with a few others thrown in for good measure. As a result, it's difficult to predict exactly what you'll get, which explains why there's so much confusion about which color charts to use. The thread's quality is likely to differ from one manufacturer to the next. Use the information on Threadchart. info to find color numbers/colors that you have, and you should be able to get a reasonably close match from other suppliers. br>As another person has stated- Because each color has only one spool (500M), plan ahead if you're working on a big project. Overall, this is a great deal on a large quantity of thread. Added on October 1st - br>It appears that the Radiant and Embroidex color codes are the same, so is the thread the same?.
