This is a nice color, but the edges have been damaged and are crumbling

Gold leaf is nice because of the color -- Make sure your brass isn't too coppery or brassy. It's just a matter of presenting it badly. This golden leaf is simply shuffled loosely and covered in a floppy, soft envelope that's designed to prevent damage to the Since almost all of the 100 sheets are eroded and crumbled due to mechanical friction and rubbing against the sides of the envelope, the edges are extremely eroded. My question to the seller was why they weren't using stiff cardboard to protect the sheets from flexing and corrosion, but they replied that the cardboard simply worsened the problem. That's what you believe, don't you? It isn't like that at all. There have been plenty of other metal leaves I have purchased online from different brands and they have arrived in excellent Do I like this leaf enough to buy it I doubt it. As a result of the fragile nature of gold leaf, gold leafing is a hard task- Since I prefer pristine sheets over ones that are already worn and torn, I prefer to purchase sheets that are in pristine condition to start with.

Opening with caution is a good idea! However, they did deliver as expected, but I would suggest packaging them more effectively because they stuck to my fingers as soon as I took them out

Here are a few reasons why I enjoy them I give this product a 10/10 for value for money. It's pretty easy to keep them together. In the past, I have come across gold leaf that was already broken into pieces or which flaked off easily. The experience I have had with these has been different. As far as durability is concerned, they do a pretty good job. There are two pieces of thin paper between each gold leaf sheet, so the gold leaf is presented neatly. This is certainly something I would recommend.

The packaging is great, but I skipped the adhesive and lined the box with Since I did not have anything else at home, I used whatever sticky substance I had in my possession

First, I tried hair gel (yes, I used hair gel), slathered it along my wall, and it worked! Then I got some clear glue (Elmers), which I got from the store. It worked at the 99 Cents store as well. Nevertheless, since the glue is much stickier than the hair gel, it caused the flakes to crumble much more, which in itself is not a bad thing, it just gives it a more crumbled appearance. The flakes are not covered with a coat or gloss. I still have flaking on my walls, but it is holding up well so far. The papers are so beautiful I will be ordering more, because I just want to embellish everything I have with them!.

It looks like plastic foil and is difficult to apply

In order to decorate this wooden photo frame, I used faux gold leaf sheets. The leaf was extremely difficult to apply, and I ended up removing it from the frame when I realized it looked cheap, like plastic foil or As described in the listing, this item was delivered quickly, and it appeared to be on-par with its appearance. It may be a time-saving option, but I would not recommend it as a If you plan to use this product for mixed media art, it may be better than applying gold leaf to gold.

This program offers great value for the money

It offers great quality at a very low price. I like the shiny appearance, but not the brassy appearance of many others. You'll definitely get your money's worth. I think the sheets are about five inches square (about 5 inches). They come off of their protective papers easily and were easy to adhere to adhesive. These will be my 'go to' gold foil / gold leaf for all my gold foil / gold leaf needs in the future.
