The answer is yes. like it because it resembles fine white sand like what you would find on the Gulf Coast of Florida. When I compare it with the sand you can buy at Michaels and Walmart, both of those are courser than this sand.
Shemit crabs will live in white sand, so yes, the sand is okay to use. We offer it to our customers in aquarium packaging which they can also use

It was perfect to use for our moon sand project! My only mistake was that I didn't realize 5 pounds of sand would equal about 6 cups. I wish I had.
A small hole in the bag is preventing me from giving it a full star. However, the bag works and looks fine! There were a lot of people fussing over that one, but I mean, who in their right mind opens something in their bedroom that contains sand? ?I think the only thing I don't like about the hole in the bag is that the bag the sand comes in is somewhat thick, and rigid. In addition, the hole is triangular, and it bothers me. This means it wasn't due to wear and tear from shipping instead, it is the result of someone poking holes in It is important that you be more cautious.
LOL - I thought it would be better if it all stayed IN the bag, lol -- both bags that I ordered had different-sized holes. My best effort to collect most of what I could in a Ziploc baggie did not result in success. Most of it got on the.
As the photo describes the product more accurately than I would expect, I suspect the seller did not anticipate this. Sand is seen being piled up on top of the bag of sand in the picture. The package that it came in actually appeared like that after I opened it. Several grains of sand had fallen out of the bag because of a hole at the bottom. There are also multiple dark brown particles strewn throughout the white sand grains, even though the product is supposed to be white sand.
The only thing I ask for from an item like white sand is that it be white, and that it be sand. However, this sand was emphatically NOT white. OTOH, it was sand, so I will give it a star.
This item was in a box filled with sand. There was a large hole in the side of the box and sand was spilling out of it. I was disappointed by the poor quality of packaging on the item itself. There are a lot of fine grains in sand. This amount was as expected large.
There was no problem with other reviewers' aquariums when they used this product. On Instagram, I saw someone with a betta bowl filled with white sand. The look was really nice, therefore I thought it'd be fun to try it. My Betta's bowl is 3 gal, so I used this for the bottom. To start, I put the sand in first and then poured water over it. During the past two days, the water had been cloudy. It looked as though the betta was going to die. Because I change the bowl every week (so it's usually 50% cloudy), I'm unsure whether it would be useful to use.
It had more white sand than other "white" sands, but it had lots of pebbles as well - Tiny bits and flecks of black, along with other little bits here and there. This was basically all I had to do and it amounted to about a pound (not hard, but certainly a pain). The cup count is 5 cups, which is not great for the price.
