I have never owned a face paint kit before. As a rule, I whip out the liquid lipstick and eyeshadow to make unicorns and ladybugs, but this time I thought "let's try something a little more cost effective". Rather than spending $5 more, invest in awesome products! Two days ago, I bought it and now wish I could take it back. It is my experience in the field of professional painting that I am able to draw from. It has been a year since I did that and I was looking forward to getting back to it. A different set of tiles would have been a better choice. Because the lids for the rectangles don't fit easily and you have to remove them from the black plastic, you end up with a bunch of loose rectangles that are hard to hold in your hand and the kids are not going to stay on like other brands. The lesson learned is that we need to be more systematic. As a result, I have to purchase new brushes since the large brush is unsafe, and it is the size that I tend to use most often.
The paint is not terrible, but it is not as smooth and responsive as others I have used in the past. It comes off very easily only good thing is it comes off.

There are no words to describe how wonderful these cakes are. In the past, the black and white cakes always went first, so it would be appreciated if those could be a bit bigger. If you make more than one cake, don't use too much water and try to keep colors balanced by making each cake a separate sponge. My only complaint about the sponges was that I didn't like them. Using a round, solid foam potters sponge with no holes will make it easy to control the dampness. Cut the sponges in halves or quarters for a consistent dampness. Despite the rain, the coverage is not soaking wet. A mermaid, an ice queen, an army man and a super hero.

It's a great color combination. Paint stains the skin, but the pros outweigh the cons. No matter how hard I scrub my face with soap and a wash cloth, the stain remains. For a little more than a half hour, I had the paint on.

I am an amateur artist who has experimented with a number of different mediums, and thought face paint would be enjoyable to try. As a beginning set, this is a great option since it gives you a variety of paints and tools at a very affordable price. The biggest con is that some of the paint is really offensive. Smells like a dirty diaper of a sick child. (Trust me, I speak from experience as a mom of two boys. back a bit, and it doesn't stink when it's dry, so it's OK. This is a great set for beginners, even though there are some drawbacks. The stencils work fine, the sponges are too small, and I don't care for the paintbrushes, but it's still a great set for learning In the end, I really enjoyed it, so I went on to buy more of the well-known If I hadn't bought this first set, I probably wouldn't have done it.

For the price, this is a good kit. You don't get as much stuff for the price you pay as you would at TAG, but the paint quality isn't as good as TAG's. It's the large stencils that I enjoy most and have used them quite My small brush is the only brush I've been using since I have better Neither the brushes nor the instructions are very good, but they do work. It comes with a 1/2" flat, a 6 round, about a 1/4" filbert, and a small round, about a 1-1/2" I dislike the color choices of the paint, but the purple color tends to stain after a few hours. The lids are thin, disposable plastic and are really hard to close. As for the stickers, they just won't stay on and won't last, which is too bad since the kit it comes in is disposable, cheap plastic, so there's not a lot you can do to preserve the paints unless you reuse the original container. Neither the smaller stencils nor gems have been used by me, but I would expect to use eyelash glue or another cosmetic glue instead of hoping the glue on them would adhere.
