It is by far superior to the US wes9032 replacement blades to use the es9036. Throughout the US, the wes9032 is the standard for all arc 5 razors. I decided to buy a new razor after I replaced the blades on my old LV81K and was not satisfied with the results. I discovered that the Japanese ES9036 blades were compatible with all arc 5 racers, so I bought I was able to save on a new shaver by using this es9036 with a gold bar on the foil, which reduces drag and lifts the beard for a closer shave, less irritation and a faster shave. It takes too long for Panasonic to get its products to the United States although it produces great products in Japan.
My skin is old man's skin (71) which means it has many nooks and crannies that the shaver must find a way around. In spite of the fact that the foil that came with the shaver wasn't particularly effective on the smooth areas of the face, the gold bars made a significant improvement, especially where those little nooks and crannies lie. When I examined the default set very closely, it would have seemed that the smooth bars of the replacement set would have the opposite effect - they would have effectively cut the hairs - however, upon further examination, it seemed that it picked up the hairs without difficulty. The head for my Panasonic razor was finally replaced by a new one 9032. While I was contemplating replacing the 9032 with the newer 9036 with its fancy gold rollers, I decided to go with the newer 9036. This particular razor was more expensive, but I had read they helped with shaving comfort, so I purchased the 9036 instead of the slightly less expensive 9032. I love the 9036, but I cannot tell a difference between it and the As far as I can tell, I cannot discern whether the little gold rollers contributed to the comfort of the shave. In general, I think both of these heads are fantastic and will provide a very close, fast shave. However, I would hesitate to spend the extra money on the 9036.
The WES9032P is cheaper, but at least it is compatible with my ES-80 and I can't really tell the difference between them This is LV65. Both do not cause irritation for me, and the gold bars on this one might be a little more difficult to shave with. Neither shave as close to my skin as I'd like, so there is certainly no benefit to this shave. Don't spend money you don't have.
Replacement of the old Arc5 heads is a much better option. I've been using it for a month and a half now without any issues. As the rollers are built into the head, it can glide across the face more easily. A sensitive skin shaving cream by Nivea is what I use. To give my clippers a good smell and clean feel after each use, I give them a rinse, then spray a light mist of Andis blade cleaner for clippers. In addition to lubricating the cleaner, it keeps it cool so it runs smoothly. A blade spray can last for ever and lubricating blades prior to use will greatly extend their lifespan and improve comfort. The cost of the spray is $10, but will significantly improve their lifespan and comfort.
