Questions & Answers
Without pictures, it's a little difficult to explain, but you can make more intricate shapes than just rolling the paper. I recommend that you watch a few quilling videos on YouTube. I don't recall which one it was, but watching videos on YouTube inspired me to purchase a comb. "Husking" is another term to look for.

I was very eager to try this product because I had previously used regular hair combs for quilling and wanted to see if investing in a "special" quilling comb was worthwhile. Yes, it is, I am happy to report! When making several of the same size leaves, the teeth of the comb are conveniently numbered on the handle, making it much easier to remember where you started and finished. This comb also has metal teeth, which I prefer to plastic because they are easier to work with. The plastic teeth have a proclivity to easily compress. Because the spacing between each loop is altered, this can detract from the overall appearance of the leaf. The teeth of this comb aren't compressed in any way. They're also well spaced, making it simple to slide a piece of paper between them. br>It arrived in a box with a few other items I had ordered. Everything appeared to be in excellent working order. Because this is a Prime product for me, shipping was free, and I had it in my hands in less than two days. I'm glad I decided to give it a try, and I highly recommend it; this is the third or fourth quilling tool I've purchased from this company, and they're all high quality and very useful. If you're on the fence about whether or not to buy this comb, take the plunge. You will not be sorry.
Because I teach quilling, I ordered a large quantity of these for my students. The delivery was on time and accurate. This type of comb is necessary for making "wheat ears" and other looped designs without the use of pins in a board. My only criticism is that the numbering is not consistent. The numbering on this comb goes from 1 at the bottom (where the "Q") to 15 at the top on my older version. The numbering has been reversed in the current version for sale. Loop 1 for a wheat ear would normally begin on the tine next to the "Q," so the old numbering was more intuitive. This is, however, a minor point. Apart from that, it's a good product.
I've only recently learned how to quill, and I'm completely enamored with it. It's incredibly simple to pick up, and the equipment is reasonably priced. In fact, I'm putting together an order so that my sister, who works with children at school and is always doing crafty things, will have all of the tools and gadgets I have. Because she doesn't knit or crochet like I do, I'm grateful to have a hobby that she can share with me. br>br>My favorites are the kits that include all of the patterns and papers needed to complete all of the projects listed in the kit. I think I have around ten kits now, and I've also found a few patterns on the internet. This tool creates some really nice large loops and expands your possibilities.
"Why not?" I reasoned. Right, it appears to be the same. Wrong. It's a far cry from the real deal. br>It's incredible how well this works. If you're a quiller, do yourself a favor and pick up one of these; you won't be disappointed.

H undertaking. My daughter is enrolled in a 4-week quilling class. H project. She is very pleased with the product, and the instructions on the back of the package are very helpful. They also arrived quickly.
For quilling and paper crafts, this is a must-have item. Love it.
Despite the fact that I had previously used an onion holder, it took some time to adjust to this comb - Overall, I like it, particularly the numbering of the prongs - That was a pleasant surprise - a smart investment.
