Unlike shiny paper, this paper is not glossy. There is only a minimal amount of fiber showing. Heavy duty construction paper like this is pretty standard. Purchasing this product was a pleasant experience.

I advise you not to buy! A faded and thin appearance

Due to my position as an art teacher, I am familiar with a variety of brands. There's no doubt in my mind- I was expecting the same quality from Ray Pacon as I already have him in my classroom. NO, THAT WAS NOT THE CASE! There were already traces of fading and a flimsy feel to the paper. Red and blue were purchased for a project in the school colors, but after using them, the boxes are being recycled. I now know why I was charged a very low price for this add-on paper. Taking caution is a good idea.

I was very disappointed with the construction paper pack I received from TAN. The Pacon brand has always been a favorite of mine because of its high Although this pack had two shades of tan, it was different from the others. As it turned out, I only needed half of the pack for my project, which meant I could only use a third of it. Was going to return, but time constraints prevented me from doing so.
