Questions & Answers

Is a weaving loom required for them to work? I appreciate it. ?

Thanks for the message In order to play Lacis Cards, you must be in a weaving If you tie off the loom to a door knob and you, it will be as simple as that. Another method is to use an inkle loom, which is more portable and does not need to be tied to the door. There are excellent reference books as well, such as Mrs. Crockett's "Card Weaving" and "Tablet Weaving Made Easy" by John Mullarkey. A video documenting the process was also produced by Mullarkey. There are a number of ways to weave with this Take part in this game and have fun!

What is the significance of the size of the cards? These cards look like the ones I saw on the internet The bay, - If there is a difference (if any), what is it? I appreciate it. ?

There is no actual difference between the sizes of cards, as far as I know. You could weave with any size of cards if you were going to use 20 to weave. I suppose if you were really ambitious and were to use 100 cards then size might be important. It's more likely to be whatever is most comfortable for your hands.

What kind of instruction will this offer for a novice?

That was not the case with my machine. However, the instructions on the tube are excellent. In addition, they show a great deal of detail. In my opinion, this set of cards is fantastic.

Virtually indestructible is what the sales pitch says. The material of which it is made? Does it come in pressed board or plastic?

These are made from pressing board, but are extremely Using plastic might not be the best option. However, the cards do need to be able to bend as the threads do. It is possible for threads to be "cut" otherwise.

This isn't what I had It remains to be seen how this will affect the country
5/5

Although these cards are smaller and thinner than the cards included with my tablet weaving book, they are quite sturdy. Because of the thinness, they seem to be fairly rigid. If you travel with a belt loom and small drawstring bag, it is easier to transport these. There is no doubt that portability is an advantage. Compared to a standard playing card, the thickness is better in comparison to a good Bicycle card deck, and the card is slightly stiffer than a fresh card. The sides are smooth, too. A tiny bit of blurring is present at the edges. The corners of the poster are clearly marked. To see how well these work I will have to try them out first. If these work well, I might just need to get myself another 2 packs.

Strong and flexible at the same time
5/5

Having these smaller-sizes has been a great pleasure for me. To weave on my tablet, I use plastic cards of the right size. Whenever you need to flip cards on the vertical axis, these are the perfect flipping tools. They are durable but also flexible. Having said that, it has one drawback the plastic cannot retain permanent markings Regardless of how long the ink stays on the edges, I prefer to mark the A/D edge as soon as I arrive at the As a result, I simply repeat what I said Once a project has been completed, mark it.

Compared to homemade, this is much better
4/5

These tablets are to replace the homemade ones that I had been making. The ones I grow are wafer thin and have a tendency to be sticky It was starting to bother my ear after heavy use, so I decided to try something different. There is definitely more weight in these than a deck of playing cards, but not by much. With a plastic laminated finish and a nice, smooth surface, they are nice and slippery. Although I would have liked them numbered, I can still number them myself since that's up to me. Additionally, color-coding the edges in the same way is a good way to tell if any cards have shifted. made of wood, as were the Viking weavers of the time.

I like how big it is
5/5

In the past, fans had to make do with much larger cards. I am glad to have these, as they will work much better on an inkle loom.

Constructed from resilient laminated construction paper, these cards are easy to use and are designed to last
5/5

admit, I had my doubts about the material at first. However, I have just completed my first big project with the material and so far it has been holding up well. As of yet, there are no visible signs of wear. Also, since they are thinner than cardboard or wooden weaving cards, it is easier to create bands with a uniform width and clean ends.

Put your cards on the table
4/5

Despite being small, the hole at the center is very useful for help to secure them once tension has been released. I did however have a short supply of cards in one of my packs. It's okay to order some extra packs if you are in the close range of how many you need!.

The product works great and is well made
5/5

Weaving cards that are smooth and even are good for challenging weaves. Making your own from cards works, too, but these feel at least twice as thick, while still being just the right amount of slippery.

When I was a kid, I used to weave my own My weaving cards were made from "recycled" gift cards that I used to make myself, but after killing two hole punchers, I decided it would be worth it to buy They are wider and square instead of rectangles I would make and slightly bigger than what I would have
