Selected User Reviews For Glory Qin Dressed Brown Soft Round Genuine Jewelry Leather Cord Leather Rope (1mm 10 Yards)
The color is appealing, and the material appears to be long-lasting. This is not a stretchy material. I didn't like how shiny it was, and it's definitely not appropriate for adjustable chains - I had bought it for the purpose for which I had purchased it. Any attempt to tie a knot will fail because it will easily undo.
When I ordered this cord, I had completely different plans for its use. I had no idea that 1mm is just a smidgeon thicker than three strands of thread wound together. Thin as a sheet. To avoid having to return to the seller, make sure you do your homework and compare the diameter sizes of the cords you order. Also, for a price of ten dollars, it appears to be of very low quality.
I really enjoy it. On all of my custom-made walking sticks, I use it to create nice, durable, and comfortable gripping areas. "Sticks" aren't what you'd expect. The ones I make are several inches taller than I am in order to provide me with more options when descending a rocky hillside in southern Utah. I can reach way down and firmly plant the stainless steel point of the stick's end where I select and put my full weight (with pack and gear) onto the stick and simply ease my way down what would otherwise be a dangerous and risky descent path. After seeing how much easier and safer it is to use my stick, all of my friends want to use it. Each stick has three distinct gripping areas, which is my point here. Low, medium, and high are three levels of difficulty. I usually braid three strands into one using two colors of this leather. I stretched it out tight and let it sit for a day or two. Then, using some adhesive applied to the stick as it is wrapped, I wrap it around my desired grip areas. With a hammer and flathead screwdriver, the ends are driven into precisely the right-sized holes and finished with fancy brass/goldish nails for aesthetic purposes. These sticks stand out because of their grips. They're as attractive as they are functional and effective gripping materials. The braiding actually adds to the comfort of the grips in your hand. When you're too tired to walk around and have no choice but to go straight through, these sticks are hefty enough to take full swings at the dead juniper branches in your way. This leathet is extremely durable and will last for many years. I've never had to rewrap a grip due to wear. With use, sweat, and body oils, the leather toughens and develops that cool look that can only be found in genuine leather that has been ridden hard and stored dirty. get some. I always have five spools on hand.
I made several necklaces out of this nice leather. It's fairly strong, not too stretchy, and has a lovely color. Unfortunately, the part I was given smells like mold. It's been several weeks since I got it, and it's still stinking.
BEWARE! This is a waste of time. Not only is this not genuine leather, but it also feels like chewed paper inside; the 3mm cord is extremely stiff, and it broke in half when I tried to tie a knot with it. Examine the image below. The fibers are broken, not torn, as can be seen by their appearance. If you twist it a little, you'll see what I mean. it frays. Do not squander your time or money. This is a waste of time.
The leather is supple and comfortable to wear. It has a pleasant leather scent to it. The color is a cinnamon brown that goes with everything. Even when paired with black, this "distressed brown" works well. Overall, I'm pleased that this 3mm leather cord arrived promptly, is reasonably priced, and appears to be of good quality! I'll be back for more without a doubt.
This is a nice cord, and I like how distressed it looks. It's not too soft, but it's not too hard, either. However, it has the odor of having been stored in a moldy basement or warehouse. I can't seem to get rid of the odor.
The color is lovely, but it's not suitable for adjustable necklaces or bracelets, oh no! I'll use it for only necklaces with clasps because it comes unraveled with a couple of pulls.
