This set of Water Tubes has been so helpful to me! As a result, we did not have to keep planting milkweed plants every time the leaves disappeared as I placed trimmed stumps inside the water tubes and placed the plants in a soil filled pot inside our home, within a screened in habitat to foster wildlife. I am sure we can replace whichever ones need replacing.
For helping me raise caterpillars, I've been using these to keep cuttings fresh. Thank you so much for helping me! The process of picking leaves becomes an all-day challenge, and they wilt easily in the Florida sun. Using the floral tubes, I am able to feed the caterpillar twice a day and ensure the plants stay.
They were part of a purchase of 100 long stem roses that I gave away at a marketing event. It doesn't matter if they break. This is good, but I put roses in them for a little over three hours. They seemed to function ok, but you have to watch how much water you put in. In addition, they leak if you use them for thin stems (some of the roses that got damaged gave me a bad headache- A thin stem was a feature of these plants). Do not put a daisy or a pansy in them, and everything will be fine. Please accept my sincere thanks.
My friends and family helped me load the flowers into the tubes with flower food and water when I used them for my wedding arch and table runners, where I ordered my flowers in bulk from Costco. Three days after the installation, there was zero leakage and evaporation. It was a good season for flowers. It took us several days to clean them out after the wedding so we could reuse them. Using other times, the rubber on the lids went back to the shape it was in the first time and didn't leak. It's amazing how well they work!.
My name is Frank, and I am not a florist. I am just a gardener trying to get rid of a vine that has started popping up in my flower beds recently called Smilex vines. To use Roundup, you fill a tube with it, strip the leaves from the vines, and then push the vines all the way into the tube hole. Since I just did this yesterday, I don't know how long the Roundup will last, but these tubs are nice and big, and the pointy end makes it easy to push them into the ground at any angle to hopefully keep the tube from blowing around and spilling liquid. To use this product, I put Roundup in the water tube as follows.
I find that these work well for my needs. My purpose is to raise monarch butterflies with cuttings in them. It is possible to get enough stem to root after the caterpillars consume the leaves. Since I am going to buy longer ones next time, I will purchase longer ones. A cut flower like a rose would be a good candidate for this. A snug fit is evident in the tops. I noticed the top is made of some kind of rubbery material, whereas the bottom is.
In order to hold up milkweed cuttings while I raised monarch butterfly caterpillars, I used these holders. did a wonderful job. The tubes are held in place by holders made using my husband's drill press. Voila! It is often necessary to refill the water as often as twice per day since they do not hold a large amount of water. It was difficult to put the plants through the lid holes, but I cut them on an angle and carefully inserted them. Flexible material allows for larger holes and thicker stems to fit into it. Despite holding the cuttings snugly, I liked the way they held them.
During the summer, we maintain a butterfly waystation where caterpillars grow into butterflies that then travel Certain plants are preferred by certain butterflies for laying eggs on and for eating. The tubes are used for picking leaves and other parts of plants from the ground. Tubes hold an adequate amount of water to keep cuttings alive and prevent them from leaking out, even if they are on their side. In addition to storing cut flowers for nectar, we can use the tubes to display flowers. Fall is a great time for them too, as they make great There are a lot of tubes in our lab, and we use them all the time. Our recommendation for them is very high.
