What you pay for is exactly what you get. Because it's inexpensive, you'll get a low-cost product; I usually buy a different brand, but I needed some different sizes, so I tried these. The backs are terrible; they're made of a very soft plastic that makes them difficult to put on. The eyes are also a lighter weight plastic than I'm used to, with sharp little edges where the plastic spilled over the mold. I'm not unhappy enough to return them, but I'm not going to buy them again.
I enjoy crocheting dolls, but I've never figured out how to embroider eyes. These are extremely simple to use and have a fantastic appearance. They're available in a wide range of sizes and colors, and they're presorted in a plastic organizer. I haven't had a chance to try out the animal noses yet, but they are extremely detailed and attractive.
I liked how different noses and eyes came in different sizes, colors, and shapes. This allows you to buy a single pack and make a variety of amigurumis without having to invest a lot of money. br>br>I liked the case it came in because it helped to keep the pieces organized and separated. Some sizes had more pieces than could fit in a single slot, so they spilled over into an already occupied space. Only because I wanted to keep them completely separate did I end up transferring them to a larger case. br>br>The one thing I noticed was that the number of items listed did not always match the number of items on the shelf. Usually, it comes with a couple extra pieces, which is great, especially since some of the pieces in the shank were slightly malformed, so it compensates for some manufacturing errors. However, I discovered that at least four sizes were missing one or more pieces. Because I usually use these eyes in pairs, this will make it difficult to use. br>br>Overall, it's a good value for the money and a good way to get into a craft without spending a lot of money. I intend to buy individual items rather than the entire set to replenish my stock.
These were used in amigurumi projects by both my daughter and me. The colored eyes are too small for the backs, and the largest eyes are too big for the backs, so none of them fit. They popped out after I finished a project with the colored eyes, so I tightened them to the second ridge. If the toy had been given to a small child or a pet, this would be extremely dangerous. Paint had also been scratched off noticeably on some of the colored eyes. I was extremely disappointed that I had to use glue to keep these in place. I suppose you get what you pay for, but it was a waste of money.
These eyes and noses will be used to make pom-poms. stuffed animals and pom poms With safety grommets, this is a great assortment. Unexpected glue sticks are thrown in for good measure. Excellent value for money!.
I like how these come in a box to keep them organized. I firmly pressed the back on and lightly melted the peg to make it more difficult to remove to ensure the eyes stayed in place. br>Once I've finished with this box, I'll buy again.
More small eye sizes should be included.
The only criticism I have for this set is that the sizes are not labeled. What method do you use to determine which size is the correct one? Otherwise, there is a wide range of eyes and noses to choose from, and there are so many that I will never use them all.
