The tiles are porous, so I'm sure I could do it, but bear in mind. There is no seal or shine to them.

The item was not broken. It is my fault that the cork backing was thinner than I expected, but looking at the description, it was my fault. Rather than giving this a 4 star rating, I would have given it a 5 star rating if the cork backing had been thicker.
