There has only been one time when I used it. This was my first attempt at pottery, and I think it went pretty well. Although I had concerns about the wet clay and water spilling down the main shaft into the motor, it didn't cause damage to the machine. I really worried about the wet clay dripping onto the motor, but that wasn't I could tell that while there were some parts of it that got under the plate and were hard to clean, once clean I could tell that nothing went anywhere it shouldn't have, which was reassuring. This pottery wheel looked really nice and it was a good value for the price. The only two things I would change are the color and the price. In the beginning, I would have liked smooth edges all around. There is a sharp edge on some of the rounded edges When I was cleaning it, I cut my fingers a little on a few bumps on Another thing I would like is the foot pedal to be detachable so I can use this while sitting at a table and still be able to adjust the speed. My whole goal with this pottery wheel was to try something new. I am an absolute beginner. I bought it because I have always wanted to try pottery and I thought it would be a great chance to do so. As it should have been! my spouse had a good laugh when they found me covered in clay water when we came home. The next time I give it a try, I think I will do much better now that I understand the basics. The purchase was good, the supplier was great, and the item was received in good shape. I. & II. If I had a friend, I would recommend this.
The quality of this item is fantastic, and cleaning it is easy. The pottery wheel my husband bought is a big hit with him. One possible change I would make is to make the foot pedal removable.
It does not have holes for a bat, but that is pretty good for the price. These will need to be added.
It was a pleasant surprise to receive it. I believed it would be smaller, but it was much bigger than I anticipated. I attached it to my computer and it works fine. That should take care of it!.
The weight is very high.
