A fellow crafter recommended this cardstock as a great plain black cardstock for laser printing and foiling with toner. It's hard for me to compare brands since I haven't tried others, but I know the smoothness is the most important factor. The paper is very smooth (I wish they had a glossy version), and I found it to be very useful for what I needed. In addition to my black purchase, I put some foil on red. While it wasn't as smooth, it still worked quite well. The colors may have to be tried in other combinations Being able to choose from colors besides black and white is fun. (just for the record, the white glossy works really well.
