You might not want to try that. I was expecting a better quality magnetic shim with my machine purchase, but this one is not what I got. I don't think it will stay in shape since it is so thin. The possibility of self-healing does not appeal to me.

There is a problem with this shim because it does not perform as well as the Has a tendency to move dies around, so you have to tape them down to keep them from moving. I went through about ten uses before the fabric warped and became crinkly. It left a much deeper impression on me. As long as the product is of the same quality as the original, the markings would be useful. Sorry to hear that I won't be able to get the original. The material is of lower quality, then why did they even think it was better. This is not the case!.
It would be great if this product was still available in the older style that came with two magnetic shims in one package for the same price as this one.
