Questions & Answers

Is it resistant to heat? Is it okay to iron on top of it?

It's made of plastic, so it won't withstand high temperatures.

Is this a more durable sewing gauge than Nancy Zieman's?

Yes, it is more durable, as well as being significantly larger. I believe I prefer Nancy Zieman's sewing gauge. I believe the markings are clearer, and it comfortably fits my small hands.

Selected User Reviews For Fiskars 132050-1001 Measuring Gauge, Orange

Fiskars is a well-known brand of measuring instruments
5/5

This is, without a doubt, one of the best and most useful sewing accessories on the market. By now, I've read two or three of them. I should point out that I sew a LOT. You could make use of one that you've had for a long time. My problem is that with all of the use, the little measurement stripes eventually fade away, and they become much less useful as a result. But that won't stop me from getting a new one; they save a ton of time when it comes to hems or simply wanting neat seams, so I think they're fantastic.

It's made of plastic, and I'm the one who has to deal with it
3/5

It's possible that I mistook it for white-painted metal. It's probably stated in the description, so it's my fault, but every seam gauge I've seen in person has been made of metal. Anyway, it's not a big deal. The orange makes it easier to find in a stack of sewing supplies, which I like. For more than nine dollars. I believe it is overpriced at 00. If it hadn't been for the 2019 virus, I would have purchased it from a sewing store. When it comes to safety, a $5 is a small price to pay. 00 in the bank Safety comes out on top!.

It's pointless! This ruler isn't going to stay in place
3/5

The spring that makes the button work appears to be missing. The guage moves around freely on the ruler, rendering it useless. To Amazon's credit, they promptly refunded my money.

It does exactly what it should
4/5

It performs admirably, and I appreciate the fact that it can be locked in place. The only drawback is that it isn't very sturdy, which isn't a big deal. Flexes excessively. However, that is something with which I am comfortable.
