There is no pattern for English Paper Piecing in this pattern. Paper piecing is used to make the stars and in regular piecing, regular piecing is used for the rest. In English Paper Piecing, hexagons are sewn by hand around a sewing machine needle. This takes a lot of time.

How do you measure diamonds? Do you have a special ruler? Can you tell me how big the diamonds are?

As far as quilting is concerned, I have never even sewn a single square for a pot holder, the exception being batting and backing. The thing is, I know how to sew and can follow directions, so what could possibly I definitely went through a learning curve being a beginner, but the rewards were truly awesome! It is great, and I am already working on my Christmas tree skirt from the pattern.

This pattern is typical of Violet Craft. A template design is included along with the directions. The entire pattern goes together, but I was confused at first by her sheer number and variety of patterns.
